A lot of people thought this was pretty racist, that it's about a white savior liberating black people, etc. But I found it really good. The big moment joke in the book and the film is outrageously funny no matter how often I see it.
I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention... what media empire? Last I saw was him quitting and boarding the plane with his wife to France with Vince. Was there a throwaway line that went right by me? Ari owned 51% of the company. That makes quitting in a huff and storming out stupid.
The show has become very boring. Outside of the plot not working, where did all the girls go? It's like a weekly sausage party. Turtle may be the dumbest character written. I don't care how stupid he is, who bails on an IPO with Mark Cuban?
Most of the Disney/Pixar commentaries are very good. Actually, very few films seem to have the same level of bonus features that you get with a Pixar flick - they really do give you enough to occupy a week or more.
I'm waiting for this to drop some in price before I buy. But I'll buy. I swear though, if my copy of Hobo with a Shotgun is even 2% to green or yellow, I am going to start posting in every forum I find about how I've been wronged ;)
Our local AMC told me that TF3 has some guarantees on 3D screens for 2-3 weeks, so Harry Potter might not even get the best houses. I hope that is not true. I have no interest at all in TF3, but I'm hoping they don't lock HP7B out of the best theaters in the house. I didn't think you could do...
You are too kind. This is one of the worst movies of the year. Unless the extras included a hot redhead with a massage table, it's not worth $20. The movie is about the same as any SyFy channel made for TV movie. It should win quite a few razzies. There is a scene near the middle if I can...
I think the answer is simple. When DVD came out, nobody owned very many videos. But it made ownership easy. Now, with the economy what it is, a lot of people including me may buy new titles on BD, but I'm not in a rush to replace DVDs I already own. And the ones I'd be interested in replacing...
I just picked up the D5100. So far, I just have the 1855VR lens, but I've been very happy with how it looks. It has that nice sturdy feel of good construction.
I was wondering when you'd get this up. I figured this is the one you used for the Incredibles. That was, frankly, awesome. One of the best movie experience I have had in years. But, the projector was just on a box or something outside, right? I can't remember, it wasn't very big. I...
I will be in the minority and say I loved it. Lots of laughs, probably the most light hearted family romp they've put out since Incredibles. So, it made it a lot more fun all the way through. A lot of really good laughs, some great action - hell, the action in this was better then any...
My eyesight must be terrible. I can't imagine trying to read a book off a four inch screen. I know people do it, but I think I'd have a headache in minutes.
Do not spend less then $500. Figure a decent Intel I3-2100 or about that for as low as you want to go. Also remember, the more extenders you want to run, the beefier it should be.
Good luck with the cablecompany, though... mine stood around like they were idiots and kept saying "I don't know how this works". I had to lie to mine and just say I had a TiVo. Make sure you get SDV adapters if your cable company requires them; supposedly all SDV are supposed to support...
The one thing I've been most happy about is how fast the Ceton changes channels in comparison to my DirecTV box. The negative is that I can't do picture-in-picture with media center. But I didn't use that much except during football season. I found out the hard way, so here's some advice...
So the ultimate editions are exactly the same as the regular? I thought they had different features or extras.. this seems to say that it's the exact same if the review is just copied from the older version. Yeah, I don't know if I'd spend an extra $20 for trading cards.
I have no interest. I haven't played PC games in forever, but the story of how this got screwed up interested me. I do wish someone would go back and remake another Gabriel Knight, or even an updated Phantasmagoria. Here I thought those kind of movie-type games would at least have some...
Right. At this point, there is no third party software option, or data path to support playback of Bluray. I think there are some technical issues around that stop it from happening.
Good video. I've thought about the Popcorn Hour for mobility, actually. Load it up with movies and take it when I travel. I see you're doing another video on software. It looks like there are three or four different fornt ends. Any chance you can show some of those?
Only thing I noticed from GL is that it has Blake Lively - the Gossip Girl girl... I can think of one thing she was decent in, and quite a few she's been terrible in. Having her as a love interest made me instantly think of Fantastic Four level of garbage. I'm thinking GL crashes like Sky...
The big difference is that if you're home sharing, it means it's stored on your local network. The question is, is Apple going to move all of this stuff to the cloud, so that you don't have local copies of say, the Apps you've purchased. Because while it's cool that it would allow for...
A lot of it depends on your cablecard device. You probably have one of the first generation ATI CableCard tuners. I had the problem where everything seemed flagged so I couldn't watch anything anywhere. But when I switched to the Ceton, a lot of those problems dissappeared. Some content...
