McClain's Law with James Arness has been available for streaming for a long time, but there has not been a DVD release. There were only 16 episodes. I have been hoping it would come out, as well as the final season of How The West Was Won.
From The Fugitive, Jacqueline Scott (Kimble's sister) is still with us.
Van Williams is the only one of the 3 leads on SurfSide 6 still alive.
Peyton Place survivors also include Barbara Parkins.
If the color Gunsmokes and the WB detectives ever get released, I would be satisfied with what I have. Unfortunately, the chances are looking slimmer for the former and unlikely for the latter.
CBS/P must be losing a bundle with all the replacement sets and replacement discs they have been sending out. The postage alone must be pretty substantial. It's hard to believe the number of screw-ups since the first volumes were issued, but I do give them credit for doing everything they did...
The Gunsmoke color episodes shown on TV Land in its early days and still being shown today were not remastered. It's so disappointing that CBS stopped releasing remastered episodes just as they got to the first color season.
They have been streaming McClain's Law on the Archive. I wonder if it will be released on DVD.
There is only one season of How The West Was Won to go, so they could finish that up.
Many years ago Silva America released a Fugitive CD labeled Original Television Series Soundtrack Music By Peter Rugolo with 24 tracks. I haven't checked to see if this is the same as the CD contained in the Most Wanted set.
7 - CBS/P's plan to release Gunsmoke Season 12 in December. Is CBS/P leaving the TV on DVD business except for current shows? Do the substantial losses they must be enduring with the Fugitive fiasco have anything to do with it?
When I called and gave them the barcode off the Most Wanted set they sent me, they told me I had a good set and didn't need the 5 replacement discs. I checked both parts of Landscape and Three Cheers and it appears my set is good, as they said. So I was quite surprised when the 5 replacement...
When I heard Panasonic was stopping production of DVD recorders I stocked up - 2 EH75s and 3 EH55s. Now if there were only more on TV that is worth recording!
Thanks, HardPanner.
Deluxe sent me the Most Wanted set with black discs. There is no "running man" on the 5 discs that some sets need replacements for.
Three Cheers plays all the way through, and I can Fast Forward and Rewind on both parts of Landscape.
For both the disc with Three Cheers...
I received the entire Most Wanted set from Deluxe at the end of June. When I called for the 5 replacement discs, they said I don't need them because they are only sending out corrected Most Wanted sets.
I checked both parts of Landscape. I can fast forward and reverse with no problem.
I...
How The West Was Won seems to be stalled with one season remaining.
They have been streaming McClain's Law for quite a while. I have been hoping for a DVD release of this one-season show with only about 16 episodes.
I thought that Gunsmoke was a good seller for CBS/P, but it has been over 7 months since the release of Season 11 last December. With 9 seasons to go, I'm not sure I will last long enough to see it completed.
Richard Long was Rex Randolph on Bourbon Street Beat during its only season (1959-1960). After it was canceled, Rex Randolph was moved to 77 Sunset Strip and Kenny Madison (played by Van Williams) was moved to SurfSide 6.
Being a one-season show, I hoped Bourbon Street Beat would be the...
Decades showed the last episode of The Fugitive this morning with Sept. 5 as "the day the running stopped". I know this is how the series ended in Canada. The picture looked so good that I figured it must be from one of the remastered sets. The original Season 4/Volume 2? The recalled Most...
From what I have read, Wyman and Turner did not get along. Scenes involving them both were shot separately. Wyman made it an "either she goes or I go" situation. Again, this is what I have read.
Falcon Crest was my favorite, followed by Dallas.
Cozi is not part of the Weigel family of channels, which includes MeTV, H&I, and Decades. I have Millionaires from both MeTV and H&I, and the episodes run 22:50 on both.
I've been recording The Millionaire from H&I. After editing out the commercials, they are running about 22:50. I don't know if they are cut or time-compressed. I've got about 160 of them so far. Since Decades is a sister channel from the same company, I expect they will be showing the same...
