I get occasional ear shattering chirps through my speakers and recently my HDMI output stopped working so I'm looking for a new one. i bought the receiver a few years back and it was advertised as "future proof". i kinda knew that that was a fantasy but i just upgraded my tv and am stuck with a nice receiver that doesn't have 1.4 hdmi. i was wondering if it was upgradable with a firmware update?
