In the small town I grew up in 50 years ago those types of X crossings had DO NOT PASS on the posts. Looks like plenty of room for the DO NOT, but it’s not there.
No it’s not just CBS properties.
A good example is some of the various series created by Stephen J. Cannell. The Paley Center has episodes of The Rockford Files, Black Sheep Squadron, Baretta, The Greatest American Hero, The A-Team, Wiseguy, Renegade, 21 Jump Street, and Profit.
Only Wiseguy...
I never had an appreciation for Westerns until 20 years ago when I was well into my 30s. I’ve haven’t seen this series, but since I never bought the Timeless set and I’ve found this discussion interesting I’ll buy this wonky color chopped up rerelease.
I think you meant to type 1989-91, the same 2 season time period that The New Adam-12 was produced for syndication.
Even though I have never seen the episodes I believe Milner and McCord show up a couple of times as guest stars portraying their original Adam-12 characters.
I totally agree with you. It mucks up the entire episode. I hate all the music replacements in the series.
While not TGAH, I caught some of Decades weekend binge of Riptide. I can’t say 100% about every song because I didn’t watch every episode, but at least some of the original music missing...
Thanks!
Those 1st season teasers before the opening credits were produced in house by ABC with the voiceover by Ernie Anderson. The 2nd and 3rd season were cut together at Cannell Productions and were delivered to the network attached to the episodes.
I don’t know what happened with Anchor Bay, I just worked with them on TGAH. I provided series information, photos, contact info, that kinda thing. I also wrote the trivia questions included in the season 2 release. My biggest regret with that was including a question about the song Eve of...
Just so you are aware, the blu ray set is just an upscale. Nothing was scanned from original film elements. If you play the original Anchor Bay DVDs in a blu ray player that upscales and watch the same episode from the Japanese blu ray set side by side the blu ray episode has a slightly better...
I have both the Japanese DVDs and Blu ray set of TGAH, and all the original music is intact. I highly doubt that the new VEI release will have the original tunes. Cannell wasn't going to pony up the dough originally, and I'm sure VEI will be provided the same music replaced masters everyone has...
CRACKLE currently has a couple of dozen Crazy Like A Fox episodes streaming.
In case you weren’t aware of it. Not as good as a physical release, but at least it’s something.
Mill Creek replaced nothing. The music cuts or substitutions are in the Cannell masters distributed in the U.S. be it physical media, streaming, or broadcast television.
The Rockford Files is from when Cannell worked at Universal, it’s out on blu for the same reason as The A-Team. Chase, Toma, Baretta, & City of Angels are also owned by Universal. I would love to see even just a DVD release of Chase & City of Angels but I doubt if that will ever happen.
I have...
Actually there are three TV movies. Hunter: Back in Force in 2003 was the 3rd that led up to the new series. NBC aired 3 episodes of the new show, and the remaining 2 shows were left on the shelf.
Doubtful these will ever be included in a mega Hunter set because somewhere there are different...
I have the Elephant release of Gemini Man, that set looks good and it's PAL Region 2. I also have their blu ray release of Baa Baa Black Sheep, it's region free and looks great on my 50 inch screen.
Yep, you are correct about the people. I recognize many names on the production side of things, including Huggins. I think he left right before the last episode, or last couple of episodes. Not sure what kind of budget they were working with, but the production value looks like it's on the...
The first casting reports for the Blue Thunder TV series had Gil Gerard down as the lead, I wonder if he smelled the "stink" on the show and backed out?
Dana Carvey said in a TV Guide interview years later that this was the only thing he was ever fired from, which explains why JAFO isn't in the...
Yep it was. check out this link and scroll down to the G80 section.

Did anyone buy the German box set release of it Takes A Thief? I planned to more than once, but always bought something else instead (Riptide, Hunter, Hardcastle...
Elephant Films is releasing the short lived ABC series on Blu later this year. Not a very good series overall, but as a fan of the helicopter this is a day one purchase for me. EF releases quite a bit of US programming, hopefully they continue.
Everything Universal has not released is blamed on the fire, (although Scott was NOT doing that) too bad your story won't get the traction on the net like the myth.
Reminds me of the myth of the turbines (flying motorcycles) seen in Galactica: 1980 were built for Battlestar Galactica. NO, they...
