I’ve never heard that word before, outside MP. They are reclassifying the film based on one word that most everyone has probably never heard and never will? One that most people probably don’t even know is a slur? Ridiculous.
I give them props for addressing the issue, but still ridiculous...
They would nice if they were distinct from the other artwork, but they are almost always exactly the same. Just seems like such a waste… sure it makes the product look a LITTLE nicer, but come on, make them different.
This would make an excellent bonus for Og Wonka, or The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles… I will buy it and put it in with one of those sets.
What really bugs me about these Sony titles is that they leave bonus material off the Blu Ray, and then put it on the 4k. This title and Kramer V. Kramer did theirs with deleted scenes. Why can’t they just put everything on the 4k AND Blu Ray, so I don’t need to own 2-3 discs of each title?
I also hope they can get the Scorsese intro. Unless that’s owned by Olive.
On another note, is this a Warner Bros. Picture? I’ve never heard of “United States Pictures”. So who owns it?
I never liked this film. I call it “the boring years of our lives.”
But, the performances are good… especially Russell.
But if It is released again with a new transfer, I’ll get it.
I believe so.
The missing scenes RAH mentioned must not have audio extant or they would have used still
Photos.
I too love the restoration. Great film. It’s slowly becoming a favorite of mine. I can’t watch it every other month, but once or twice a year.
What surprises me is that some...
