According to tvshowsondvd.com MFM S3 is being released by MPI on Oct. 30. I wish that they'd re-release S1 & 2 as well.

I'd like to see Batman, Green Hornet, Please Don't eat the Daisies, Ghost & Mrs. Muir, He & She and The Practice (with Danny Thomas). I'd like more of Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Maude and Ironside.

According to someone on the Encore Westerns facebook page, Wagon Train will start airing on that channel on New Year's Day. I've never seen the show before, and, as a fan of vintage TV westerns, I'm looking forward to watching it.

I just did some research and yes, "Requiem..." has aired on Encore. It's the episode where the Virginian has several hours to prove that Stacey didn't kill a doctor or else he'll be hanged. I believe that Cloris Leachman played the saloon girl.

"Requiem..." and "Doctor Pat" are two separate episodes. As was stated earlier, "Requiem..." did originally air on 1/25/67. "Doctor Pat" first aired more than a month later on 3/1/67.

I don't understand why NBC cancelled TMFS in '71. It was winning its time slot and was in 18th place overall for the season. I remember how demo-conscious the networks were becoming at the time. Did the show skew too old? Or was it just becoming too expensive? Anyway, I hope Encore does air...

As someone else who has all three seasons, I can also recommend "I Spy". And the late Robert Culp's commentaries on all of the episodes he wrote are very informative and insightful. He was a very talented, thoughtful guy (RIP).

Has Sony completely abandoned this great series? It's a groundbreaker and deserves to be on DVD. And why isn't Norman Lear fighting harder to get more seasons released? Next to AITF, it's got to be his favorite. Very frustrating.
