    How many times do we have to go over this on these forums? PAN & SCAN DOES NOT EXIST IN 1080P. It's either a mistake on Amazon's part, or one of the sequels is a TV movie that was shot in 1.33:1.

    Thanks for making that clear, Robert. Not all of Universal's catalog blu-rays are bad. Although a port of the HD-DVD, the recent release of DUNE looks great in 1080p. And lest we forget the stellar transfer of THE THING.

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Tombstone -- in Blu-ray

    I found the transfer to be a disappointment. Sharpness and color are fine, but most scenes are too dark and muddy. Often the characters appear as dark silhouettes against a blown-out white sky.
