Ok, so i know i have nothing special. Just thought i'd share and see what some of your opinions are. Just got the 52" today :)

got the splitter. I havnt really noticed anything. But at least i know its not missing anything now. Also picked up a PS3. Love it. I recently bought "Inglorious Basterds" and "Funny People". My Samsung blu-ray player has trouble playing both of them. When I play them in the PS3, it tells me...
If I'm out somewhere, I may just pick one up for the hell of it. Theyre cheap. It sounds good, not complaints, just wanted to make sure there wasnt more i'm missing out on.
My system has changed quite a bit in the past month. :)

Also I am a little unsure about whethr or not i hooked this thing up right. It has two inputs, left and right (white and red). The manual says it only needs one, but should i use a splitter to have it hooked up through both?
I'm liking it a lot. i'm hearing and also feeling fequencies ive never heard like stated. I was thinking about some "Buttkickers", but who needs them with a sub like this. The guys with multiple PB13 Ultras must be crazy. haha. Those dual 15s in that picture above are pretty cool. Maybe someday. :)
So the Sony sounds great. very happy with it. I've only watched Terminator with it so far. But i'm impressed. The $80 Sony sounds better than the $125 Polk. Of course its much larger and its timbre-matched to my fronts soo...
Now i'm just waiting on my SVS PB-12NSD sub to arrive. should be here...
Thanks for the input. I have a Sony CN5000 center on the way. Should be here wednesday. As for the Sub, I'm getting really close to purchasing the SVS I think. They seem to have a lot of fans and they have a lot of good reviews. It'll be $630 shipped with a 5 meter cable. I guess ill put this...
Will do. Amazon said it would be here Wednesday with free two-day shipping. But it was already shipped today so maybe sooner. I might have a Polk RM8c for sale if anyone is interested.
Thanks for all the help!
Yea think i will raise the TV. But only slightly. I should be able to squeeze the Sony center onto the TV stand. Its 8" deep instead of 10"+ like the klipsch. I'll probably only have to raise the TV 2"
Thank you very much for the informative reply.
My current front speaker are Sony SS-B3000s. Large bookshelf speakers. I like them for music when I'm running just 2.1. During movies, the 3 speakers obvously do not sound perfect together. It was a bad decision on my part. but this was before I...
I understand that the front stage should match. But i simply do not have the funds for a full set right now. My polk doesnt seem to be able to handle the levels at which I like to watch movies. (Which is between -5 and 0 dbl on my Yamaha receiver.) I plan on possibly doing klipsch towers down...
Thank you.
No the speakers do not match at all. My fronts are Sony SS-B3000s. theyll be replaced eventually as well. I know my front stage should be voice matched (same as timbre matched?). However, my funds wont allow for a whole front stage purchase from the brand I'm most interested in...
I've about had it with my current center channel. It is a Polk RM8c. It was an improvement over my first, but that's hardly saying much.
Basically I'm finding myself wanting to splurge on Klipsch products. I know theyve been around for a while and started doing only Very high-end Pro theater...
hey guys, I'm finding myself less than satisfied with my current subwoofer. Currently i'm using a Polk PSW-125. Its not terrible, but I'm regretting paying $350 for it. Its my second biggest regret as far as Home theater speaker purchases go. my first being my current Polk center channel. but...
I've been thinking of making my own panels for my living room. I can get as much 3# rigid fiberglass insulation as i want from work for free. I'm just still a little unsure as to how I want to construct them. I've seen people make them with a 1x4 frame and then hang it on the wall like a...
Polks TSi series' specs still look better than the SVS SCS series speakers. ( Those two model lines seem to be at about the same level). Broader frequency range and higher sensitivity. I wish i could hear some for comparison though.
I have since hooked up my new receiver. yamaha really makes...
Not that i'm a big expert but, I would never spend $700 on any piece of Sony sound equipment. I think Sony is decent bang for buck, but at those price levels you can do better. Sony has always been about big wattage. Theyre constantly advertising how theyre various speakers can handle a zillion...
Cart consisted of:
Two (2) - Polk TSi 200 Bookshelf speakers. sensitivity: 89 dbl, power handling: 20-150w
One (1) - Polk CS20 Center channel. sensitivity: 91 dbl, power handling: 20-150w
Two (2) - Polk RM8 surround speakers. sensitivity: 89, power handling: up to 125w
Free - Polk SW-111...
Honestly i've never even heard of Axiom or SVS. I suppose brands like Polk and Inifinity and such are more..."Mainstream?" i guess. Every time i look online at the normal stores like Crutchfield, Amazon, or maybe Best buy, I always come back to the same brand; Polk. I pieced together a setup...
Thank you. However the matching front speakers for the RM8 speakers do not seem like quite enough. I may use RM8s for the surrounds, but id like a beefier front stage. So perhaps ill replace the RM8 center with something bigger as well.
