    Sacrifice Audio or video quality?

Ok, so my assumption on it all was wrong... I thought you basically had to choose one or the other. So you can make individual components use HDMI for video but use analog/optical for sound?

    Sacrifice Audio or video quality?

I got a 42" LCD a little less than a year ago but still have an older receiver which does not have HDMI inputs. My question is, should I run HDMI to the TV from my individual components and lose the higher quality sound of my speakers, or should I run it to my receiver using standard cables and...

Check with frys.com before buying anything Polk. They can usually kill competitors on pricing for the speakers you are looking at.

Please help me decide on new components!

I think those RS50s may be what I got. And I believe that sub would work with them or the 60s. But not for sure on that.

The situation has changed, now I have 400 USD to spend on a Home Theater.. But I found a few options

Smart choice there. Even if you don't have an HDTV NOW, theres no point in having to buy a whole new system if you do get one. HDMI is always a good thing to have for later down the road.

    Lighting control options?

I believe any remote with a "Z chip" will power a lighting system using X-10. If its what I'm thinking of my dad got certified to install it here in Arkansas and he was told they could be controlled by MOST new Universal Remotes.

    Question about Power conditioners

First off does anyone use a Power Conditioner/protector with their system? Secondly, is it worth the money? And finally, How do you plug a projector into one if the projector is mounted from the ceiling and the protector is on your component rack? I know there is always the possibility of...

Please help me decide on new components!

Must agree on the Fry's purchasing of towers. I got a set for I think $100 and they are not the best speakers ever but are great for the price. I bought my center channel at Best Buy to match and now am looking for surrounds. But I would definitely say try Fry's. BUT with looking to get...
