Custom Cover Blu-Ray Custom Cover art thread

It's a dumb complaint, but I wish Marvel could've gotten one more film into Phase 3, allowing it to be 12 movies instead of 11. Maybe even making the back half of Phase 3 as Phase 4.

The Official Disney Movie Club Blu-ray Exclusives Thread

It was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures in America. It was just not produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. There are many animated Disney movies (like those from the now defunct (as of June 2018) Disneytoons Studios (the straight to video sequels)) that are not from Walt Disney Animation...

The Official Disney Movie Club Blu-ray Exclusives Thread

Apologies if this is the wrong section for this, but does anyone know if this will come out stateside? This is a pretty crazy collection: https://www.shopdisney.co.uk/disney-classics-complete-blu-ray-box-set-1937-2018-413519835191.html?cgid=2000600 I first heard about the collection at video...

3D Blu-ray Review Captain America: Civil War 3D Blu-ray Review

As excited as I am for the Russo brothers to do the next to Avengers movies, I'm equally excited that Alan Silvestri is returning to score them. His scores from the first Captain America movie and the the first Avengers movie are easily my favorite scores in the MCU.

Custom Cover Blu-Ray Custom Cover art thread

Love it! Simply wonderful! One minor suggestion for cohesiveness, though would be to move the LucasFilm logo to the top of the spine on each box (removing the Fox and Disney logos, but keeping them on the backs of the cases). Will you make any for the bonus material from the current box set in...

Custom Cover Blu-Ray Custom Cover art thread

I figured this would be a good thread to ask this. I'm looking to transfer each of my Hobbit 3D movies (5-disc sized) to smaller cases. I have no real need for the DVD copy of the movies and thankfully, the 3D version makes no mention of a DVD (so no need for custom cover art). The particular...

Independence Day 20th Anniversery Edition announced?

Yeah. Those features are also on the reprint (it was part of a special edition series Fox did in 2003 with numbers on the spines). In fact, some features on that version were hidden as easter-eggs on the Five Star edition (for whatever reason). I loved the feature regarding blowing up the...

Independence Day 20th Anniversery Edition announced?

Maybe it was an exclusive announcement. However, I have a feeling there's more features then those...

3D The Incredibles and Ratatouille: 3D in the works

But is Pixar handled differently? Inside Out got a 3D release. Disney (as in Walt Disney Pictures) does not seem to release their movies in 3D domestically. Pixar and Marvel all get 3D releases still. Are they given free reign to handle it as they see fit? Also, if The Incredibles and...

Has the home release of Jurassic World been edited?

CAUTION: MILD SPOILERS This may be my memory messing with me, but I think some dialogue has been edited out of the Jurassic World home release for whatever reason. The scene in question is when the raptors are sent to track down the Indominus Rex. In the scene, Owen (Chris Pratt) comes face...

! At Fox Studios with the Execs! Post Your Fox Questions Here and We Will Ask Away

With Indenpendence Day Forever releasing in 2016, will we get an Independence Day: 20th Anniversary Edition that includes the extensive bonus features from the 5-Star Collection edition (and its 2-Disc repackaged edition) that were absent from the relatively bare-boned Blu-Ray release? It...

Could the original, unaltered STAR WARS be on its way to Blu-ray?

I also remember seeing Video CDs of Star Wars. I didn't buy them, but looking back they may have been unofficial releases. This was months before the original trilogy was announced for DVD. Edit- Here they are.

Custom Cover Blu-Ray Custom Cover art thread

I hope they can get Drew Struzan to return to do the posters for the new movies. Last I heard he was either retired or semi-retired. And as for the home releases of the future movies, it's all going to be a mess. Apparently Disney (through LucasFilm) can't distribute the original 6 until a...

Custom Cover Blu-Ray Custom Cover art thread

Those Star Wars cases look incredible. Almost official. If I was able to change a few things, though, I'd put the LucasFilm logo on the spines instead of Fox considering LucasFilm is now owned by Disney and I assume any future Star Wars release (starting with Episode VII) would have the...

Fox put in bid to takeover Warner

I don't ever want to see any of the classic major six studios (Fox (News Corp), WB (TimeWarner), Disney (Disney), Universial (Comcast), Paramount (Viacom), and Columbia (Sony)) merge.

How do you organize your Blu-ray Collection?

I sort my digital stuff the same way as physical (by studio) and am annoyed when not given the chance. Vudu for instance just allows you to sort it by title, purchase date, or most recently watched. iTunes for me is great until it unsorts my movies when a particular movie is sold in a new...

How do you organize your Blu-ray Collection?

Same. Although, it gets tricky when movies change studios as I like to keep franchises together whenever possible. So, in special cases, I'll mix studios. For instance, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies I'm mixing in Paramount, Disney and (if I ever get around to buying The Incredible...

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: THE HTF ADDICT 3D REVIEW

I couldn't wait to see how Smaug's scenes were in 3D and they did not dissapoint. They did a fantastic job.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: THE HTF ADDICT 3D REVIEW

I personally hope that when disks are large enough, we will get a mega edit of LOTR which would make it a 12 hour epic (and do the same with the Hobbit Trilogy). And then, to go all out, they could combine both trilogies into one truly massive move to have a Middle-Earth Epic 20 hour-ish saga.

Sony & Panasonic propose 300GB BD disc

If these are ever made at a consumer level, I would love to see Peter Jackson edit The Lord of the Rings into one movie, as that is how the books were originally intended. Maybe (there would have to be some splitting and moving around of scenes) they could also make a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings...

Blu-ray music albums target replacement of SACD and DVD-Audio

I want to see The Lord of the Rings soundtracks released in this format. I never got the chance to get my hands on the Complete Recording sets (only ROTK is still sold at its normal price). I remember hearing how wonderful the music sounded in 5.1. The only issue I'd have with these Blu-Ray...

Christopher Nolan Collection (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

The box art shows Insomnia. Even though, WB was only the co-distributer (Touchtone was the main distrubuter), I think The Prestige should also be in it. Edit- Huh, the Christopher Nolan collection I found on Amazon is from 2012 and does not include TDKR. I guess there is a newer version coming...

Could the original, unaltered STAR WARS be on its way to Blu-ray?

Disney did buy LucasFilm (it was in the press release). They do have Indiana Jones. They have ILM and Skywalker Sound. They HAD LucasArts :( Star Wars was the most disucssed, though, as it was announced concurrently that a set of movies were being made.

    3D Disney's Dinosaur 3D anytime soon?

Has there been any talk of Disney's Dinosaur being released on Blu-Ray 3D? I'm wondering because the opening sequence alone (especially the flying part) would warrant a 3D conversion. And wasn't the original Blu-Ray release nothing special? The movie itself is just alright, but that opening...

Blu-ray Review A Good Day to Die Hard Blu-ray Review

I agree about bringing back the other characters. They should even bring back Matt Farell (Justin Long's character from 4) and maybe make him Lucy's boyfriend or husband. They should even bring back Al Powell (the cop from the first two).
