With $300-$500 budget it is hard to buy a quality receiver. I am just wondering why you do not buy a used one.

I guess some people including me would believe that Denon is a little weak in strength in comparision with Pioneer Elite (for the same claimed xxx watt per channel).
To day, I have gone through more than 8 Pioneer receivers and currently I still keep Pioneer Elite 29TX, VSX517 and VSX D458. From my point of view, most Pioneer receivers belong to low-end stuffs except for Elite. Normally, Pioneer receivers have too much noise so $100 does not make any...
Finally I figured it out that there is a warm-up indicator and it takes 2 minutes to have the speakers on. The signal processing on the back needs to be set at on instead of off. Thank you.
Thank you chuckg. I did as you said, but it is still not working. I am wondering whether the signal processing has to be on for Luxman L525 amplifier ( I notice it is off now). Is there any special setting on the front? This is what it looks like now.
