Win a Denon X5200W 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AVR with a copy of Insurgent on Blu-ray!

Ideal? Hard to really imagine, but realistically, with maybe one splurge item? I'd buy another pair of RTi3's and mover them over to the sides. Upgrade my Diamond 9.CS to a 10.CM. Probably upgrade my Diamond 9SR's to some Diamond 10's. Pick up a Rhymik F12, and then go nuts on a pair of...

    Onkyo 607 Bi-Amp Question

As a forum moderator myself, I deeply apologize. As for everyone else's advice thank you very much. I am going to go with the 507 as it fits my my specific needs well enough for the moment as well as satisfying a couple nonspecific ones. As a lowly 24 year old AV tech I need to try and be...

    Onkyo 607 Bi-Amp Question

Ok, thats what I thought as the 607 is version 1.3a and 507 is 1.3. The only difference is in CEC commands, right? In terms of differences in features I couldn't find anything other than Dolby PLIIz, On Screen Remote Programming, OSD output, and of course 7.2 output. None of which are major...

    LCD mounting and using Tilt

It should be fine. Because of it tilting it may make a bit more noise settling than normal, but most displays that are made to be mounted are made to support being mounted at an angle.

    Onkyo 607 Bi-Amp Question

Did not notice that the 507 wasn't able to receive HD audio via HDMI, close call on that. Thank you for all the help, will get the 607, and just keep saving for a little while for some better fronts.

    Onkyo 607 Bi-Amp Question

My understanding of the difference between full range and bi amp comes from my experience with EAW KF300s that I use at work which are able to switch from full range passive to bi amp, and was under the impression that the difference was essentially the ability to process the signal better and...

    The future of LED-based DLP?

In response to your original question, I find it very unlikely that we will be seeing anyone else adopting the LED technology, or even stepping any deeper into the RPDLP market. It simply isn't sexy enough of a product, even though it is (IMHO) the best looking and easily the best value for...

    Onkyo 607 Bi-Amp Question

Sorry this is actually a modified repost from "Members Theaters and HT Projects" I realized it would actually be better suited here. I'm currently getting started on piecing together audio gear to finish up my home theater and have run into a small bump in my choice of receiver. I had been...

    Oh Great Wisdom Givers...HELP! :)

I just bought a Wharfedale Diamond 9.CS Center Channel Speaker after hearing it at a friends. I'm also planning on buying a pair of the Diamond9.SR, as I've heard good things. Normally these speakers are a bit above my price range and from what you've said, yours as well, but if you're...

Layout for 5.1 System in open floor plan

Actually subwoofers are omni directional and create low enough frequencies that they don't reverberate much if at all in a home setting. The corner placement is actually the best option most times as butting a sub up against a wall can boost it's output my several dB. Unless its placed over a...

    Onkyo 607 Bi-Amp Question

I'm currently getting started on piecing together audio gear to finish up my home theater and have run into a small bump in my choice of receiver. I had been going between getting the Onkyo 507 and the 607, and had pretty much settled on the 607 because of its slightly higher power output...
