See......that's more realistic.....rather than the broad statement that people like to say here that numbers mean NOTHING. They do have some relevance.
EDIT, btw......nice that you can go back and change your response to say that the numbers are FLUFFED!....instead of the original " NUMBERS...
Now.....the next thread or 2 EXPLAINED it......as a GENERAL rule. Not as I seem to see alot.....people saying the number mean NOTHING.
They do have some relevance for the basic to midlevel people, maybe not to the top level people.
Like I said the reciever states 100w per channel.....I...
If all these numbers mean nothing as yall keep saying, then whats the use of them? Seems like everytime some asks about it, the same response is don't use the numbers....
The avr states 100 watts per channel, so according to what yall say.....I could use a 2 watt speaker? Numbers mean nothing...
Anybody wanna see a pic?
I got 2 coats of stain and just put the 1st coat of poly. Made more work than it should have been cause a few of the joints weren't exactly flush, and I didn't sand them down.....I had stained it twice and put a coat of poly on, then had to go back and sand everything...
Ahhh, I do know the difference between open cell and closed. Didn't figure it was the same, but hell I got a roll of that padding I still have yet to find a use for lol.
Gonna get a router and order that Jasper jig, I have seen that jig on PE and liked it compared to other stuff I have seen.
As for lining the inside of the box......I have seen the egg crate looking foam used, would carpet padding do the same or similar? I have a roll of new carpet pad and it...

I have been looking at all the different options for cutting nice holes. What do yall use? I am want to get some sort of setup for cutting holes, but not sure which way to go. I saw one of the rotozips come with a circle cutting guide, just never messed with the rotozips.....always figured them...

Now that I have a box built to suffice my bass head, I can now take my time and build a nice box. I was searching and found a thread somewhere of a guys build that I really liked. Not sure where the thread was, but just wanted to give credit to this guys idea. I think he said he stained it with...
John Corbett was the lead character in a series on TNT called Lucky. Anybody know if it ever was on DVD? It ran for three seasons I think a few years back. It was about him as a poker player guy and his goofball buddies.
Kool. Got to thinking, the last time I went to Rat Shack.....the dumas little girl working told me I had to buy a Sirius install kit, when I was just looking for a cable to plug from the docking station to the aux plug on the front of my truck radio. I told her, No...I have all that I just need...
Thanks dude, appreciate the tip on that other sub. I checked it out....looks like something I might look into more.
I really am impressed with the box and sub. Gonna stop tommorrow at Radio Shack and pick that stuff up. Thanks again dude.
Question about the gain...... Am I right in that the gain doesn't alter the wattage, it has to do with matching the input signal? correct? Using the subwoofer out on my reciever, into the left input on the sub amp....any suggestions on setting the gain. As it is now I have it set about 60-70%...
Got my amp in, pulled my sub from my truck, and got it all together. Gotta charge my camera batteries and I will post a pic. Still gonna finish the front alittle better, but for now it is fine. I wanted to make sure I was happy with the sound before I put much effort in the finishing. Have to...
