Watched the first episode and that's enough for me. Not because of the violence, but because of boring characters, terrible director, poor writing. None of these actors have ANY acting chops. Hard pass.
Hi, haven't posted in a long time. My local Walmart still has a great selection of BluRays and a few 4Ks. I almost never go to BB anymore, and now, will probably never go there.
One of my favorite one and done series was Invasion, which ended on a huge cliffhanger. I remember how the network kept moving the show around and taking huge breaks between episodes, I never could keep up with when and where the show would be broadcast. Some of my favorite actors spent time...
My opinion: Episode got off to a terrific start, then dragged a bit in the middle (necessary I suppose to set up the plot) and ended on a high note. I'm sure the episodes to come will ramp up the suspense, horror, and reveal more about the protagonists and their motivations. So far, so good.
Loved this show, especially Christina Ricci as Misty. Emmy worth performance, she nails the character like no other could, IMO. Can't wait for Season 2.
Perfectly happy with the original BR release, and I think it is a masterpiece. Any cuts made, even if by the Coens, are a great disservice. Hard pass, even though it is a Criterion.
I think it's interesting that your initial impression was quite positive, but now after reading this thread, you're apparently having second thoughts? Why not just stick with your original enjoyment of the film?
I for one will not miss this show. It got more and more ridiculous every season. I know I'm in the minority here but I bet there are maybe a few others who also didn't like it. I mean really, "The Bullet Blondes"? Ugh. And for those who think, if you disliked it so much, why did you...
