Right, but who is that "someone", making these decisions? Yes, the difference may be negligible, but that's not the point. Again, it's interesting that many here go absolutely nuts about any DNR, yet are OK with cropping.

I know, pretty laughable. And who are we to judge what is critical or not? I like how the same people that complain loudly about DNR and grain and all that, make excuses when it comes to correct aspect ratios...

As a photographer, if someone cropped my photos/compositions, I know I wouldn't be very pleased. Thanks for sharing. No need for WB fans to keep on making excuses.

A lot better. I have yet to see any DVD transfer that doesn't look inferior to its Blu-ray counterpart. Now a Blu-ray may have its issues, but besting a DVD is not one of them.
