You are correct. I need to finalize the disc. Only problem is that I bought the DVR from Best Buy as a clearance item with no remote. So I ordered a remote yesterday from Newremotecontrol.com. Hopefully when I get that it will solve that problem.

Yes, I have HDMI from cable box to receiver. Then HDMI from receiver to tv. I usually turn the receiver on first and then the box and tv go on simultaneously using the Comcast remote. I have been leaving the cable box on lately and it remains at the higher resolution, 1080p.

For $625 you can get the Pioneer VSX 23TXH which has all of the latest features. The only reason I upgraded to a new Pioneer is for the HDMI features. And it was well worth it. Blu ray movies sound amazing with the MCACC setup.

I recently bought a Pioneer Elite VSX 21 TXH from Amazon and it was over $200.00 cheaper than Best Buy and it arrived no problem full warranty and no sales tax. You can't beat that.

Any one have an opinion or own these? They are on sale at $248.95 at 6th Ave Electronics. Regular price at Amazon is $658.00. Seems like a great deal.

I just installed the Pioneer Elite 21 about a week ago and I love it. Very easy to hook up and the sound is phenomenal. I bought it on line and saved a lot of money as opposed to going to Best Buy or 6th Ave Electronics.

The main thing when you buy a Blu Ray player is don't let the sales guy sell you the super expensive HDMI cable. I was snookered by that before I joined this forum and it's a complete waste of money IMHO.
