For the B/W Andy's S1-5 I would gladly pay whatever price the Mission Impossible complete series blu set sold for.
The S1 Andy Griffith set was very well done, but if that price range is going to kill any hope of the rest of the series being released on blu, then I'm fine getting just the S1-5...
Antenna TV is not running all of the episodes; they are skipping 7 out of 26 episodes by my count. Then you have to suffer through Antenna TV [usually] double booking intros/end credits. And then they do pop up ads in the middle of the show. Finally, they tell you, "How TV was meant to be"...
I have the Roxbury S1-3 sets and the Shout S4 set. There must be at least some level of profitability/interest in the series for Shout to release essentially a second less than stellar set for the series. At this point in time, is there any chance of a bluray release?
I'm currently capturing 12 O'clock High episodes that are running on H&I. Their run time is about 46:00, so obviously some scenes are missing, but at least I will have something from this show. Unfortunately, they are only running one episode per week, so this will take some time to compile all...
You can add me to the list of buyers pulling the trigger at the 40.99 price.
I have the original dvds, which I paid more for than this Bluray set, but one can't go wrong at getting the upgrade in quality at this price.
I have the MI dvd's and thought they looked great, much better than what I originally viewed back in the day on our family's 21 inch Zenith. If reviews confirm this set is a real improvement over the dvd's, I will very likely buy.
Still, this seems to me a somewhat odd choice for a CBS complete...
I think I have all of the Yogi shorts; the two sets from Warner's (Yogi and Huck) and Boomerang. If a complete Yogi set becomes available on bluray, I'm in.
However, I would still like to see Warner's do Touche Turtle and Ruff and Reddy, if only on dvd. To me, the dvd's of Lippy and Wally look...
No offense taken, Ron. My comment was speculation that if a full series bluray release for MacGyver was the result of an outside company's involvement when CBS releases stalled after S1, would the two other stalled CBS bluray releases (I Love Lucy and Andy) be completed in a similar fashion - by...
Gary, I agree with your definition of "vintage". I saw some 80's stuff mentioned and brought up the MacGyver release, but it doesn't fit the definition of vintage which is the topic of this thread. My apologies for veering off.
At any rate, if CBS/P would license out Mac, I wonder if they would...
Earlier this year there was talk of a German company releasing a complete MacGyver Bluray set sometime during the fall of 2020. I haven't heard anything about it for quite some time now, so maybe it's not happening.
I have been wondering whether or not we would see more releases for Bonanza. Now that we know the answer, will we see two seasons released at one time like Gunsmoke? Maybe not since we are probably looking at 2 volumes per season for S12 and S13. At least it looks like there is a chance the rest...
I understand and agree with you. I'm just saying if knowledgeable people are involved the chances increase that we get a better release. Perfect? Probably not. Closer to perfect? More likely.
I'm wanting a set of the 1960-1966 series that features the show as it originally ran. There should be people who would know how to put this together correctly - if Warner's will consult them.
In addition to the b/w shows mentioned previously, I would like to see Richard Diamond and Love That Bob. The Life of Riley with William Bendix would be great, but with Fox, I'm not going to hold my breath.
I'm still hoping for more 50's TV.
I would buy any further seasons of Petticoat Junction that CBS would release. In fact, I would prefer CBS releases over what I'm capturing from ME TV. If further seasons of Petticoat Junction are released by CBS, I'm buying. I just think it is unlikely CBS is going any further with Petticoat...
I'm capturing Petticoat Junction episodes from ME TV because I would like to view the rest of the series and do not believe there is any chance CBS will release further seasons.
I watched Petticoat Junction during its original run. After the loss of Bea Benaderet, the show was never the same...
