Yeah I've pretty much given up on UV retailers giving us the option to download our movies/TV shows & transfer to other devices. So I've started redeeming codes on iTunes instead of UV & even buying TV shows/movies on iTunes, even though I didn't own a Apple device.
It should've been obvious...
No the OP is right. Playstation Video & Xbox Video are completely propped up by being part of the main storefronts on PlayStation & Xbox consoles. No one is using those services on their mobile devices or on PC. Not to mention those 2 services aren't available on other streaming devices (Rokus...
I didn't base that on any research. I'm basing that on Anecdotal evidence. Amazon Video has always been the go-to EST retailer for folks who don't use iTunes or/and don't have an Apple TV. I always imagined that Amazon Video would be the EST service I would eventually after I was done physical...
I just realized this week that the GPU in the Apple A8 chip/4th-Gen Apple TV is in the same PowerVR 6XT Series as the GPU in the 2nd-gen Amazon Fire TV. Not only that, the Apple TV (GX6450) has the higher-end GPU over the Fire TV (GX6250).
That means Hardware-wise, the Apple TV should be able...

I got a question that applies to the 2nd-4th generation Apple TVs that I haven't got a clear answer on
When you stream media from your PC/Mac to the Apple TV (using the Home Sharing feature on iTunes), will it save or cache the media to the Apple TV's internal storage like when you stream from...

Amazon will ban sales of Apple TV and Google Chromecast
Chris Welch October 1, 2015 01:47 pm
Amazon plans to discontinue sales of Apple TV and Google Chromecast, two enormously popular streaming devices that compete with the company's own Fire TV and Fire TV stick. Bloomberg Business...
Both of you have a point. I don't feel comfortable buying Non-UV or Non-DMA Movies & TV shows.
iTunes & Amazon Instant are the only VOD retailers that I'm comfortable buying Non-UV or Non-DMA content.

Android and iOS users, rejoice
By Bryan Bishop on September 1, 2015 09:00 am
Amazon has been making real strides in its attempt to catch up to Netflix, and today the company is delivering a feature that arguably...
Even if this answer. I'm still annoyed that iTunes has A LOT MORE special features/Bonus Content than the other VOD retailers, especially when it comes to TV Shows & older movie releases.
If you care about special features, you pretty much have to use iTunes.
