Thank you guys for the info...I picked up the component cables and now that I know the difference I'll keep em...I did see the "pricey" Monster cables... So how much better are the gold cables?

I have a Pioneer DV270 DVD player...We were just about to watch a DVD and I hit the menu and switched it to Progressive Scan in my quest for a better picture and when we switched it on I lost my picture...Needless to say I cant switch it back if I cant see the menu...Is there anyway to rest it...
