Dear Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences--How about a special Oscar for the work Robert Harris has done for film preservation over the years, saving such great films as LAWRENCE OF ARABIA---SPARTACUS---MY FAIR LADY. I think his time has come.
The number of views and replies show the interest in 60's roadshows. Maybe Twilight Time can provide us with more of them. [DOCTOR DOLITTLE ---STAR!] and others that may interest members. Hello Warner!-- You could give us GOODBYE MR CHIPS and RYANS DAUGHTER .
I was very pleased with the presentation. You need to watch all the way through, because it improves as it goes along. I swear some scenes had directional dialogue. Maybe just wishful thinking. Anyway--Thank you Twilight Time!
The only thing I miss on the HD version is that it is missing the overture and intermission. I guess I could start the overture in the standard version, than switch over to HD .
How do you know what aspect ratio you are getting with films using on demand with Comcast? I trying to figure out if DOCTOR DOLITTLE [1967] ----RAGTIME and 1492 are in original aspect ratios. Yes I am asking Comcast. They say its 16:9 in HD and 4:3 in SD. That still does not tell you if it is...
I just checked. Every film I listed is available for purchase in HD on Comcast. I guess it may be time to start collecting films other ways than on disc. Though it is really hard to make the change.
Just asking. Warner has not released enough for me. I would like to see--CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD---ORDINARY PEOPLE--PLAY IT AGAIN SAM----NOBODYS FOOL---DAY OF THE LOCUST---YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES---ANGELA'S ASHES.----TUCKER--A MAN AND HIS DREAM----RAGTIME.
Yes classics are welcome, but lets not forget---RYANS DAUGHTER-----GOODBYE MR CHIPS----LOCAL HERO---PENNIES FROM HEAVEN---MICHAEL COLLINS--THE GOODBYE GIRL---PLAY IT AGAIN SAM--PACIFIC HEIGHTS---SURVIVING PICASSO---WHOS LIFE IS IT ANYWAY?---THE BUTCHER BOY---ALICE DOESNT LIVE HERE...
Overrated film and I am a huge fan of Ridley Scott. Visually, it did not even look like a Ridley Scott film. Very average sci-fic picture. No sense of danger in this film. The smug humor got tiring after a while. Just OK.
Just finished watching this. Worth watching just to see Ann Margret dance. Does anyone know if it was in 70mm at Radio City Music in 1963? It was their Easter show.
We have four cats. My one cat likes to attack the dvd tray when it opens. One day I caught her walking around with my girl friends dvd in her mouth. I'm training her to destroy only non anamorphic discs.
