My ideal Atmos setup would be a 9.2.4 speaker configuration, with the speaker choice yet to be determined. But yeah, basically i just want a HT with the best of everything. That's the dream! Unfortunately, unless i either win my equipment in contests such as this, or hit the lottery someday...

Yeah, there are some who don't care for the red TOC on the Samsung. As far as seeing any difference in picture quality, i would like to add that in-store comparisons aren't very reliable. There are just too many variables to make an accurate comparison(lighting, calibration, video source, etc.)...

If you're main concern is to "maximize the theater effect", as far as video is concerned, then you should strongly consider a projector(as Robert suggested). Around $2000 could get you a great pj, couple that with a DIY paint-on-wall screen(search Black Widow), and spend $2000 on your audio...

I would definitely go with the Samsung.
