I am actually hoping they release The Ropers by itself (along presumably with Three's A Crowd). I wouldn't mind buying a complete series of The Ropers.
Wow never thought I'd see this. If this were released a few years ago I probably would have jumped on it. I do find the original edited DVD's annoying but I'm not really that big enough of a fan of the show to re-buy. Plus I rarely but TV DVD sets these days. I'm just shocked Shout is still...
Love my Gimme A Break Complete Series put out by VEI and now out of print. Not only is the box aesthetically pleasing but the cases are pretty sturdy. After VEI stopped putting out the season sets the complete series was the only way to get the series.
What is the deal with Crackle? Are Gloria and Grady restored? I started watching them then all of a sudden they're gone. I don't want to start watching shows then have them yanked in a short time.
HOTC has never been released on DVD. I suspect its only due to the reboot which doesn't leave much hope for other shows in their vault without reboots or remake series.
Frank thanks for sharing that. That's certainly good news. I hope the other runtimes are similar. Please let us know. Does the pilot "Star Knight" appear at the beginning or end of the set as it should?
I got an email from VEI saying the set is now available. Can anyone who picks this up post on the quality and runtimes of the set? Want to see if it's worth getting. Thanks!
That's what I'm thinking too. Since it was only one season doubt there were any syndication prints made. I just wonder what shape the original prints are in.
I doubt any of them will ever get released. I also asked WB Archives about Love Sidney awhile back and they said there were minor music issues meaning it could set released at some time (or words to that effect). I'm not holding my breath.
As for Silver Spoons I've asked Shout! and they...
That's true but they did say they were releasing the rest of the series. They probably waited until they cleared all the music for all the seasons before starting to release the remaining seasons. So I'd say it's a sure bet the rest of the series will be released but probably only a few months...
Warner Archive confirmed on facebook that the "rest of the series" of Perfect Strangers will be released on DVD with a formal announcement to come soon!
I just saw The Twilight Zone the complete series for (I believe) about $50. I guess Image's license ran out because this was under CBS. I'm sure its the episodes only.
