I am with you Dave. The BD is just the top notch HD choice right now with 1080p and lossless audio I watched Quantum of Solace, Bolt, and the Fast and Furious Triolgy this week all looked and sounded incredible! The Bolt movie from Disney looked unreal.
It is more along T1. I just got done watching it again and I really liked this one. Way better than T2 and the sound is amazing. I love the footage of Marseille, France right by the water and it shows the gold statue of Mary and her child on top of the Notre Dame la Garde several times.
I agree with Todd Smith. I had no problem with his review, but when you say don't mention the equipment, that is when I ask why such a low rating on the audio. I think if the reviewer had the lossless equipment he gives this movie a 4 1/2 or 5 on audio. You can not hear the perfect 5 on audio...
Adam, The point I was trying to get across was not if your system can handle 7.1 or not. HD movies have been out for quite awhile now and there quite a few that are just a high audio expereince. Before I upgraded to my 7.1 lossless surround sound, I was doing the whole 5.1 core only for the...
Todd, I just picked up this movie today. If your audio system can not handle lossless audio then why are you doing a review on a movie of this audio caliber. This was hands down 5 out 5 audio with my 7.1 setup. It sounds really good. With your audio setup you need to stick to movies without...
I have been a Netflix customer for over 2 years and for the most part have been pretty happy with them. Lately, they have been sending me too many Blu-ray's from other states so it takes days to get to me. Other than that no problems with BD's having scratches or being unplayable. I love the...
You do not see it that much with DTS-HD MA and DTHD on the same disc. Close Encounters of the Third Kind and the Blue Undergound movies all have both audio tracks. Final Countdown and Stendhal Syndrome are the titles out so far from Blue Underground. Some of the older Blu-ray players still do...
Stephen, I announced before Felix that the sound was fixed. Felix, I am sorry your standards are so low to think this movie was great. Dude, the acting was horrible and there was only one girl that was even remotely attractive. The remake had hotter girls and better acting.
Any early reviews yet? There are reviews out there for Hancock that comes out a week later and Hellboy II next week. I still have not seen the audio specs yet for this movie.
Actually, it is coming out Nov. 4th. It was pushed back a week in the last couple weeks on the Blue Underground web site and on sites like Best Buy and Netflix.
Here is a nice article I copied from *HDTV News, Views & Reviews. It has some good points about the lack of lossless audio on titles like Speed Racer and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Warner's Blu-ray Discs Have Me at a Loss I am somewhat disturbed at the recent Blu-Ray...
Be patient reviews will be up in the next few days. Reviewers started receiving there copies today. One of the guys at AVS Forum received his today and showed us the cheap cardboard the movies come in. His impressions will be posted soon. The Omen: Complete Collection - AVS Forum
I will have to agree with Craig. I would expect LOTR BD to be released during the holiday season next year. Any earlier and I would be one of about a million or so happy people
IGN continues to amaze me with there crappy reviews. They gave Speed Racer a 9 out 10 for audio. Those guys at IGN DVD are idiots. Don't get me wrong I love the IGN gaming side of the house, but the BD reviews over there just seem to be getting worse. P.S. Cameron the 4/5 is too high for the...
I have not seen any professional reviews yet. It is funny how Iron Man comes out in three weeks and at least four sites I have seen have the review up already. SR comes out next week and nothing. I think Warner is laying low because the high def communinty is really going to let them have it...
Thanks for clearing things up Sam. I am looking forward to your future reviews and I did mention over at the Doomsday review that I am looking forward to Doomsday.
I have read several users posts throughout several forums and with there personal reviews it sounds like the audio is very good. I was just saying that 3/5 seemed a bit low for what I have read. A 5/5 could be viewed as a little high because it is viewed by many as a perfect audio disc. I am a...

Nice review for Doomsday. I am looking forward to this one to take full use of my surround system. I disagreed with your low audio rating for The Mummy Returns, but I would have to say this is right on.
Michael, I am sure I read somewhere that Warner was going to use the same encode as the HD DVD. Also, I know on the PS3 you can hit the display button so it will tell you if the video is VC-1 or AVC. I saw on the specs the video codec has a ?. Nice review and this was the same point I was trying...
