verizon actually sent me the network extender about 3 yrs ago. I am going to move it to the window of the room it's in to see if that helps. I only have one telephone jack that's working so it's location is limited to that one bedroom so i will move it to the window and see if it helps. If not...
as far as i know and have googled,* 228 doesn't work with 4G which i have.
To shan, are you recommending that and are you saying it is the answer to my problems lol?
I have upgraded to a smart fone and my area of my yard and surroundings is a dead zone as told by verizon. I have a network extender in the house and it helps when in the house, though the other phone actually picked up better with it ( must have had a better antenna than my Samsung galaxy 3 ...
Gotcha and thanks for the education lol. Yeah i guess i was just wondering why the toslink straight to the reciever wouldnt give me all of the
DTS HD
Dolby True HD
5.1 audio from streaming and PC based audio
SACD
BD Pure Audio
as you mentioned but I guess it's because the component has to feed...
I get all of what you said earlier but I was asking about you saying I will get dd and dts using toslink from the ps3 to the avr. Now I am asking what about the video portion? Shall I run the hdmi for video straight from the ps3 to the tv?
That's how I have always had my 2001 sony setup since I...
ok I will go ahead and hook it up like that and see how I like it. Im certain I will go ahead and get the 626 though because it has all of the other stuff I want as in Bluetooth and wi fi, usb, ect.
I'm assuming you are saying just go ahead and run the ps3 to the tv via hdmi for video vs going...
I just thought that audio straight from the ps3 to the receiver's optical out would in essence be the same thing or get all of those that you just mentioned.
what I am going to do Friday is hook up the ps3 Friday using the avr that I have and also hook up the dish box. I am going to put in a...
ok well what would be the difference in had I had one of the recievers that does have audio off the hdmi and the ps3 going hdmi to the receiver, then an hdmi from the receiver to the tv which will still be incoming hdmi. So what would be the difference in regards to that as far as it not sending...
hey I wanted to know rather there would be any difference hooking my ps3 up straight to my Samsung hd tv via hdmi then running a toslink from the ps3 to the receiver for audio vs running the hdmi from the ps3 to the receiver I currently have ( with just hdmi pass thrus) then still having the...
im not sure tho it was ever hooked up as we have had 2 different phone lines in the house . I had the one in the room now where the stuff is in put in so not sure this current safety line just for the internet is even hooked up to the other jacks, or if they are ran together or what
well my wireless router is in the house in the bedroom and is about 80-90 feet from the mancave where the devices will be. It gets decent signal, better signal with the garage door to the cave up. Its a netgear usb adapter, either netgear or belkin and is suppose to be good up to 150 ft, if not...
to be honest i dont or have never sold anything on ebay. I have over the yrs sold some things by word of mouth but not many things. What I buy I usually keep pretty much until they break lol. I bought a 95 mustang v6 in late 96 and when blew a head gasket in 02, it was time to swap to a 5.0...
Just wanted to see your opinion on this. I asked the Onkyo tech this in email but he hasn't been getting back to me all that fast :)
:
Ok I'm looking at a total of about $233 to get the 515 and get the UBT and UW1 while it will be $300 ofcourse for the 626. Now I like saving as much as I can...
thanks for the insight. Now I guess the 515 will do me just fine. Gotta double check to make sure it's wi fi ready, and Bluetooth. If not I guess its the 626
sounds like they are lying then lol. I wonder why ? I always heard that cheap, sorry companies back in the day like Jensen, pyramid, majestic overrate their products while companies like Orion underrate theirs. So why would Onkyo say 130 W when in fact it's 45-55?
As i said earlier I am comfortable with the volume at about 40-50, its nice at about that volume. So i guess even with the 515 that volume level also should be about what the 560 is playing at the same level
Hell I mite as well just get the 515 then lol. I definitely didnt want it to be any " Less " loud than it is now. I might just go and purchase one from Best Buy if they have one and hook it up and see if I am satisfied before I do the swap.
so you are absolutely saying that rather I get the 515 which is 80w minimum contiuous power per channel at 8 ohm load, 2 channels driven from 20hz to 20khz or the
828 which is :
130 watts minimum continuous power
per channel, 8 ohm loads, 2 channels
driven from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a
maximum...
ok I get what you are saying but ofcourse I would have to turn the Velodyne down to balance it out i guess. I will just play with it to find the sweet spot and i guess for 100 bucks thats a steal compared ot what they cost new. And that's even providing it's still for sale; hadn't heard back...
lol but how could adding a sub not give you more bass. I mean after finally listening to my stereo yesterday via my hd samsung cd recorder via a toslink cable, it sounded awesome actually but noticed as i went up in volume to about 60 it sounded like it was bottoming out a little bit but 60...
No I'm in SC actually and that's where it is. So i guess you are saying it's worth the 100 bucks lol? There were some other brands on CL as well for around same price from different sellers but most were 8 or 10's. I think one was a Polk, maybe a sony, and few other brands i think. One might of...
well see the thing is I have had that system in the box brand new since May 2008 and just took out of the box a few wks ago as my original plans for it changed. Now that I did hook it up and to be honest, after listening to it bout an hr ago using a 3.5 mm stereo male to rca cable from my...
what about my ps3 being a blue ray player? Also thinking about getting a ps4 as my son has taken over my ps3
so lastly just to confirm, from what you just said, it will be dummed down to 2.0 being the tv is at the end of the switch lol?
Also, just thinking about maybe , just maybe adding to this Onkyo stereo system vs trying to sell the whole thing or just the receiver and buy another receiver, I have been thinking about maybe getting more bass in there anyway. I haven't done the room configuration setup yet which will...
im pretty sure I did as to why I would need the switch in the first place. So the way you are saying to use it, the tv isn't the end of the switch and won't dumb it down to 2.0? I definitely want to achieve at least 5.1 and wish I could find a switch reasonable that would do 7.1. I need to go...
also, this guy i work with was saying i can just get an hdmi splitter. Is that really so?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10113&cs_id=1011307&p_id=6192&seq=1&format=2
actually that would be wrong and i would need a switcher instead
