Target is having a Buy 1 get 1 at 50% off sale on board games this week. There's also a 10% off a single purchase Target Circle offer you may have that will stack.
Part of me wants to reply to that post... and clear up music issues... but we all know why certain songs were unable to be licensed and accept that it just couldn't be done. Shout's not to blame. That falls squarely on the people who hold the rights to the missing songs, which may not even be...
I like the movie and enjoy several of the songs. It's one of a half dozen musicals I rewatch every year or two (all others get far fewer rewatchings as I'm not much of a fan of the genre). I'm getting it for the upgrade from my old DVD copy.
I just completed a first time viewing of The Flash (1990). It's not "great" but *is* lots of fun. It masks the era with a variety of methods from using 50s style as well as ultra modern designs for automobiles. Computers are present but not intrusive. Clothing styles, like the cars, span...
I own a copy of the Sgt. Bilko set. It's very good. S1 is identical to the stand-alone release from Paramount/Universal (looks like they just added that release to the other seasons as UPC and all box text is identical). I owned S1 first and then purchased the series so had it to do a...
Here's a new one... I ordered a *NEW* BR of The Postman - sold and shipped by Amazon. It arrives today and has this sticker, *UNDER* the shrink wrap, on the outside front of the case:
A *DEFECTIVE* return from 2017 that was shrink wrapped and sent out as *NEW* product!!! I'm rather livid...
And an offer that, IMHO, you'd be "Bonkers" to actually use:
Get real, DD... why in the world would I want to use this when you consistently have 15% off offers with the last being 15% off *2* in stock items and right before that was 10% off *any* in stock purchase? *Now* you want a minimum...
When that first BR of The Prisoner was released I'd not yet purchased a BR player (and, at the time, had no plans for one - ever - that changed).
I'm quite happy with the A&E Danger Man set myself... And figure I'll be happy with the DVD set of The Prisoner but I won't know unless I break down...
Looks like it's time to finally open that DVD series set I purchased years ago and see if I like it enough to consider the BR. No, I've never seen the series before. I remember when it aired in the 60s but never really watched it back then (just remember sampling an episode or two and that it...
With all the huge data breaches that take place we're still rushing to put everything "online." Offline is the safest method. Period. I've yet to be convinced that any personal data "needs" to be widely available.
A new store opened in a town ~15 minutes away (part of our MSA). It's larger, a nicer store, and is stocked from a different warehouse (greater variety/better shipments/updates). The store here has gone significantly downhill since that opening. At the moment, there are a half dozen ceiling...
I hear ya... mine will walk around so slowly (a literal snail's pace) that my back starts to hurt (I can stand still or I can walk normally without issue - I can *not* slowly mosey). After a half hour or so I'll say "Gotta walk... back in a minute" and walk around the perimeter of the store a...
Last week I'm watching a TVonDVD season and notice that one episode of the show has a largish (~1/4") black dot in the middle of the screen. The scene was an extended one and I wondered just how they'd missed seeing that on the master and not fixed it. I couldn't tell if it were on cut-aways...
If you want the series in OAR then the only choice on BR is Battlestar Galactica: The Definitive Collection. It's often on sale at Amazon for ~$45 (currently just under $48 - and they claim it's an R2 release - it's not). Here's the BR.com review for that set...
This is pretty cool... and a nice use for that sand worm popcorn tub (and I must add that the popcorn thing is quite nice - metal bucket with that worm lid - much better constructed than I imagined - what does that thing cost?):
I've been listening to some older stuff lately and rediscovered this rather unusual "mash up" from Ides of March (mostly known for the song Vehicle):
Ides of March - "Wooden Ships/Dharma for One":
"Wooden Ships" was written and composed by David Crosby, Paul Kantner, and Stephen Stills...
Today only (expires midnight CST):
boardlandia.com is offering free shipping on all orders of $25+. No code necessary. They are located close to Madison, WI so will charge sales tax on WI orders, not sure which other states will be charged tax - mine is not.
Their prices vary so check...
One little line makes me laugh heartily:
Since *when*? Certainly not any time in the past few years and their overall track record is rather sketchy. They're the studio who was *still* delivering pan-and-scan only transfers long after even the general consumer had stopped purchasing that type...
It's even easier than that... when a pre-order takes you immediately to the cart and you want to add more items, simply change the number of items from 1 to "delete" which then puts it in the "Saved for later" portion of your cart. At that point, it can be added to the purchase area like...
No Sony... they just do manufacturing/distribution. Disney will still decide *what* gets releases so, essentially, nothing's truly changed. I'd not look for/expect any Fox titles outside Star Wars or MCU.
IMHO, Conquest is little more than a below average made-for-TV movie of those years...
While I typically find at least one film I'll purchase from each month's release I'm still, impatiently, waiting for Captain Blood... and I don't care *who* eventually releases it, just *please* get it done. While I'm at it... another plea for Sinbad the Sailor.
That's exactly what was said about advertising on VHS product of that era... and just about every era prior.
Some folks enjoy watching NOB style versions of favorite classic TV shows that include the commercials. I find them interesting once in a rare while and am reminded why we hated...
Like most of those early color shows it would have looked much better had they not used super-saturated colors. I get it as that's what people expected after dropping not so small amounts of money on purchasing that color TV - they wanted to get their money's worth. BUT - it somewhat dates...
