UPDATE: Ok, I went through the speaker setup again to see if I could detect some problem. Each time the left surround speakers gets "signal" and the sound that comes out of it is very low in comparison to the rest, the systems goes off. I tried with the different speakers, so something is wrong...
Hello to everyone. Finally I bought my system, including a onkyo 606 and Boston MCS100 speakers. Last weekend a saw an entire movie on BLUE RAY with no problems (PS3 to onkyo and then to TV. All HDMI). Today I tried to watch another movie and after 10 minutes the receiver turned off. Seems...
Ok... This is what I plan ti buy. Please comments - Sharp Aquos LC52D85U (1700) - Onyko 705 (498) (or 606 for 425) - Boston mcs 100 speker system (298) - PS3 I want it to play blue ray and DVD's. It's not a very big room and I don't want something too bog (speakers).
I'm about to buy a 46-52 inch LCD and I can´t decide if to buy a 120hz one.
Prices are so variable, but in general, the difference between them is about 400. Comments?
Thank you for the answer. So I'll do a little bit more of research on a system that processes HDMI. What is the "feature" am I looking for? What about the energy speakers?
I'm about to but an entire home theater and seems that for the BR player, I'm going towards a PS3. I was wondering of it does do "upscale" to the normal DVDs. The PS3 goes connected to the TV via HDMI and then the TV to the home theater (also by HDMI)?
Hi to everyone. I'm complete ignorant in terms of surround sounds. I'm going to buy my first one and for black friday, circuit city is offering the Onkyo 506 with a set of Energy 5.1 take classic for 599. I was wondering how good is this system. I don´t need much power and is about the...
Thank you Joseph. I went to my local HD and they didn't had "wall speaker cable". And from the normal speaker cable they only had 18 and 16 gauge. Tomorrow I'll go to Lowes. Monster cable is 100+shipping for a quad conductor (80 feet). Too much?
Ok. I started looking for cable, and found a couple of CL3 models for wall use. I only found 18 and 16 gauge. Do I need 12? On amazon, I found this: "Monster Cable 4-Conductor 14-Gauge In-Wall Speaker Cable UL-approved for in-wall use" I wonder what happens if I just buy normal speaker...
THANK YOU GUYS.... I really thank you for the info. I guess that I already have it for the wires. I also was thinking that I will finish up buying a receiver and separate speakers. The problem is that I have no idea how to match the speakers with the receiver. I guess that's a lesson for...
Thank you so much for the response. About the cable: wouldn't I need a special audio cable? About the system: I was thinking in $1000, even though I could go a little further. I don't wan't anything too fancy. Just to play the HD TV and Blue ray. I've seen some systems that come with a...
Hi to everyone. I'm a complete rookie in this home theater thing. I searched this forum and learned A LOT, but still have some doubts. The thing is that I'm remodeling my place and I wanted to wire the living room and master bedroom with speaker cable. The contractor will do this, but I need...
