I started out with a cheap Onkyo HTIB and after less than a year the only thing remaining is the receiver. It sounded ok for what I paid, but did not have the quality sound that I have now. I guess upgraditis got the best of me:laugh:

Thanks Guys. I see H/K on ebay from harmon audio for under $300 with pre-outs. I was just looking for some other brands that others might prefer over H/k.

I have been looking at H/K, Yamaha and Pioneer receivers in the price range of $300 or less. This will be mainly used for listening to music in either 5.1 or my DefTechs and a sub. Looking for a good powered receiver with pre-outs in case I decide to add a amp later. I currently have a H/K 225...
