Thanks, I'll try it and see what it sounds like. Although I think the way it sounds now is great. I guess I am trying to learn how to tweak it. Maybe I can get it a little bit better.
Another Sub you might consider is the Outlaw LFM-1 Compact. I just purchased one, and I am very pleased so far. My wife has even made several comments. I had the tv on with Independence Day playing last night. We had gone up to the kitchen which is above my HT. The sub was vibrating the floor...
My new LFM-1 Compact arrived on Friday. I got it set up and configured. I ran the Audyssey for my Denon again using 6 different points. I sure that they are plenty of subs that can go deeper, and cost more, but this thing is a huge step up from what I was using. My wife could even tell a big...
When I ran the Audyssey setup, it set my left, center, right crossovers to 40hz. I have Paradigm Studio 40's with matching centers. Paradigm rates these I believe only to 46hz. Is there a way I can change the crossover setting with out messing with the rest of the Audyssey setup on the...
I also believe that it may wipe your setup, if you don't save it. So you might want to do the firmware update, then do the rest of your setup. I haven't saved one yet, but I know you can.
I second the Paradigm recommendation. I have a pair of Studio 60's with the matching center, and I could not be happier with them. I think the 100's suggested retail is around 2000.00. I think you might get them a little cheaper. The thing that I really like about mine, is that they don't seem...
Well Outlaw emailed me this afternoon. FedEx has my sub so maybe if I am lucky it will arrive by Friday. Not sure where it is coming from yet. I know Outlaw is in MA. Not sure if that is where there equipment comes from or not.
It will also send everthing component & below out the component connection. I have the same issue. My tv only has component, no HDMI. I only have one component cable running to it, and everything I have is passed thru to the tv. No more changing inputs on the TV. Makes life a little more simple...
The only way that I could get bigger is to move it to the back of the room under the end table beside the couch. Not sure the wife would like the couch vibrating. Also the one I have now doesn't sound bad most of the time. It will clip if I crank it. I have to turn up the volume on it so that...
The width is the problem. the SVS PB10-NSD is 15" wide. That is wider than the space between my right front, & my TV/Equipment stand. SVS * Proprietary, SVS long-throw 10" NSD woofer * 300 watt BASH digital switching amp * CAD cabinet with CNC brace and 1" front baffle * Front-firing...
I think you are right about taking the compact off of the list. From the reviews that I have read, I don't believe that you could go wrong with either one. The Outlaw is slightly cheaper at 499 to the SVS at 549. I think I might be leaning toward the SVS do to the small footprint.
I have a new Denon 3803CI. I have Paradigm Studio 60's with matching center. I am using a 10 or 11 year old JBL sub. Still sounds okay, but will clip if you start to crank it. I am looking at 3 different subs as of right now. My system is in about a 800 Sq Ft listening area. The is a large...
I looked at all the receivers you are looking at. I went with the Denon. I posted in another thread on this forum as to why I went with the Denon. Here is my reasons again. I just got the Denon last week. So far I am very pleased. I had a Yamaha RX-V1000 that I replaced. The Yamaha is going...
I just got the Denon last week. So far I am very pleased. I had a Yamaha RX-V1000 that I replaced. The Yamaha is going to my bedroom. I wasn't sure how I would like the Denon. I knew from experience that I liked the sound of my 1000 and was afraid to change. I finally found a store where I could...
