I think this is the most radical directors cut I have ever seen. Many scenes and even entire characters cut out. This is a much darker film than the one that made it to theaters
I still only owned the original two sided DVD so I wanted to check out the upgraded 4K version. The grain is very high, but the movie is also over 40 years old and I understand it wasn't meant to be super sharp like todays superhero movies. All in all an acceptable upgrade.
I'm sure anyone who...
Many consider this second rate Astaire/Rogers, but I rate it towards the top. It has Rogers getting a dance of her own which is rare, and it includes their classic dance to "Lets Face the Music and Dance".
As an extra bonus it is fun to see a young Lucille Ball and Betty Grable in small roles...
I'm not sure these would be my 10 favorites, but they are the ones that I thought of first.
Singing In the Rain
The Sound Of Music
Rio Bravo
Blazing Saddles
Out Of the Past
The Godfather
Seeking A Friend For the End Of the World
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Hidden Figures
The Empire...
Finally got the TV room put back together after painting and new carpet, and actually started using it again.

Ep7-Lady and the Tramps

I was inspired by Morasp's great mixing of old and new shows to try something like it myself. This is what I watched during my first week:
Saturday:
Gunsmoke Season 1
Ep.1 - Matt Gets It
Ep.2 - Hot Spell
Ep.3 - Word Of Honor
Bosch...
I posted in the old thread and this list is probably very different, but here goes:
The Gilmore Girls
West Wing
X Files
Man From Uncle
Perry Mason
Chuck
The Mentalist
The Fugitive
Bosch
The Wonder Years
Like many people here there are probably twenty other shows that are very close to making...
I think both Bewitched and I Dream of Jeanie have not aged well for me. I can't really put my finger on what it is, but even though I own several seasons of both I rarely watch them, and when I do I just don't find them much fun.
I agree. I have never read any backstory, but I have never understood why they took a property like that and turned it into a cartoon. (Actually the cartoon was better.)
I love the show. Many episodes can make me laugh and then put a tear in my eye in the space of five minutes. Chuck and Sarah can have a deep personal conversation and ten seconds later we are at the Buy More watching Morgan and the gang doing something beyond stupid. Two minutes later Chuck is...
Chuck: Seasons 3,4, and 5
I binge watched this show over the last couple of weeks which is unusual for me. A very interesting show to me. The relationships among the characters in the cast are done about as well as any show I have ever watched while the plot of the show is completely unbelievable.
Most, if not all of these have been mentioned but here is my list:
The Sopranos
The West Wing
Bosch
The Mentalist
Elementary
Person Of Interest
Game Of Thrones
Lost (At least the first couple seasons until I determined the writers were the ones who were lost.)
Ozark
Burn Notice
In Plain Sight
Monk
I have Hundreds, but here are a few favorites:
Rockford Files
X Files
Silk Stalkings
Newhart
West Wing
The Fugitive
The Mentalist
Gilmore Girls
The Man From UNCLE
The Wonder Years (really only like the first couple seasons)
WKRP in Cincinnati
I very much agree Mannix was way better after it was re tooled for season 2. I do think it was strange that they pretty much just start over with no explanation of why Mannix has made the change.
I ended up with the Bluray even though all my other sets are DVD. When I decided to start a rewatch of the series, I realized I owned everything but Season 2. I will be interested to see if I notice the difference.
Burn Notice - Season 2
Mission Impossible - Season 5 I know this isn't the shows best season, but I had a huge crush on Lesley Ann Warren back in the day and felt the need to add this to the shelf.
