Sony's pressed MOD line seems to operate with no rhyme or regular schedule but everyone once in a while, they'll release something really unexpected and appreciated, like this and 1937's Murder in Greenwich Village a couple years ago. Those titles you mentioned would be welcomed too.
Unless...
According to Dawn of the Discs, Sony is releasing COCKTAIL HOUR (1933) on Blu-ray on March 19.
An Amazon product page is up but pre-orders aren't being taken yet.
I don't believe this Bebe Daniels/Randolph Scott film has ever been released on any home video format, so that alone makes the...
I think the KOOKS TOUR outtakes on this set were in the Nate Sanders auction of Moe's estate a few years ago. A lot of the archival audio in this set was in the same auction.

That lot mentions a KOOKS...
Following is the complete content list for the new CineMuseum LLC and Kit Parker Films home video release which lands on July 11th: STOOGE O-RAMA: THE MEN BEHIND THE MAYHEM -- AND EVEN MORE MAYHEM! (2023)
Disc 1
WELCOME – Introduction from Bradley “Curly G” Server, Curly Howard’s youngest...
While getting the film on 4K should feel like a win, it feels like Warner dropped the ball on this release. It may be the last one this film gets on home video and should have been the definitive release of the film. The glaring omissions are the two previous adaptations of the film, both...
Someone from Sony told me 6 years ago: "This has come up various times, and its fallen off the schedule. We will probably be looking at it again, soon, as the Masters of most of these shorts look fantastic, and would hold up nicely on BD."
And here are, 6 years later, and still zero signs of...
Really surprised to see King Kong back in print as a WAC title - I was thinking Criterion had it and would do a big 90th anniversary release in 2023 (maybe even as a 4K).
I have the Bose Solo 5 soundbar but looking for something better. The Bose is better than the built-in TV speakers but isn't all the impressive.
I don't need anything high-end but something a notch or two better than the Bose would be nice to have.
I'm looking at the Samsung HW-Q60T/ZA which...
This is so disappointing. It's so long overdue for the Three Stooges to get their own Blu-Ray boxset. The DVDs were great for their time but that was 10-15 years ago now.
It's very irritating to see Sony relegate these shorts as extras or bonuses. Six Stooge shorts are extras on a Noir set...
"For now."
The writing seems to be on the wall. And if it does stick around in the long run (I'm doubtful), maybe titles aren't released on disc format anymore. That would be a real shame to me.
It does seem like they were a lot of big hauls from the last 4/44 sale, but I'm imagining there would have been even more of those had this news come out before then. I know I would have ordered a few more things during that sale had I known this, then.
My concern now is these WA titles slowly...
Is anyone else seeing this news as a reason to stock up on Warner Archive releases while they're still available? Seems like anything is possible with their future availability now.
I haven't had issue playing 4K content on the Fire stick.
Since I've already tried different cables and resetting to the factory defaults, would people here recommend replacing the player before the TV?
These are my HDMI cables for the player:
As far as long as I’ve had things, the player since last June, the TV for 15 months and the cables since last summer.
From what I remember, the player was fine initially. To me, it’s a 50-50 bet if it’s the TV or the player but would really like to...
Thanks. I don't know that I've ruled out the TV - I did try multiple HDMI ports on the back of the TV and multiple cables, but how can I know the issue isn't the HDMI connections on the TV's end?
Yes. When the pictures flashes to black, it's just a black screen. No video or audio. It lasts for a few seconds before resuming normal playback.
I should also note I have a Bose Solo 5 soundbar, also only 15 months old.
My TV randomly flashes black during the playback of a disc. I'll be watching a movie, the screen will go black for a few seconds, before going back to the movie. It's very irritating.
It has happened on multiple new discs so I don't think it's the discs.
I've tried a different HDMI cable, as...
It was great to see some Wheeler & Woolsey on Blu-ray but unfortunately, Kentucky Kernels is not one of their best movies in my estimation. It rates as just okay for me, a passable time killer.
For any newcomer to the duo, I'd suggest Peach O'Reno, Diplomaniacs, Hips, Hips Hooray, and Hold Em...
Very disappointing. Sony hasn't brought The Three Stooges into the Blu-Ray age and seem to have no interest in bringing them into the 4K age either. Huge miss.
