Hey,
I could have sworn that I read about 3D glasses that had this option. I can't find them anymore. I think it was from Samsung or Panasonic.
I want to use them for my AE7000 Projector.
Thanks
Didn't know this thread was still going. Just to update what I've gone with... I decided to return my PB12-NSD and ordered a Passive JTR Captivator which I will run with a Berhinger 4000 amplifier. Should be a great upgrade. Ray
I am contemplating whether I should get a 2.35:1 screen since I'll be using the screen mostly for movies and some gaming, but what happens if I watch a 16:9 source on a 2.35:1 screen? Will I just get the black borders? Can't i "fit" the screen somehow, without stretching the picture or is that...
Call electronics expo. http://www.electronics-expo.com/ The prices on their website are NOT accurate. You MUST call them.Call 888 707 3976 Extension: 150 The rep's name is RIch Hansen. Tell him Ray called and I'm the guy that recently bought Definitive Technology speakers and a Denon 2112Ci...
The room has 3 tiny windows. The area that I will be occupying has only 1 of those windows and I will be blocking it up, so it will be pitch black in that room. 100 inches for my viewing distance seems good it seems, according to http://myhometheater.homestead.com/viewingdistancecalculator.html...
I just returned my new Samsung PN51D8000 in anticipation for the 2012 models, but I am now considering a projector, but I have no clue about what prices look like, what is important about a projector etc. First things first, I understand that you can get a super hi-quality Projector that has...
The Sony S580 is one of the best BluRay players in its price range. It's Wi-Fi and has tons of features and apps. It loads movies quickly too. I own one and like it. Only issue I can report is that the actual loading time of the BlyRay player itself (pressing the power button to turn it on) take...
I personally own Definitive Technology speakers. I love their sound and their footprint is very small compared to other manufacturers speakers. They are also very good looking speakers and wife friendly :D I own 2x DefTech BP8020 ST Towers and their CS8040HD Center...
It's about 4000 cubic feet. But that's by no means an accurate measurement because some portions of the room are enclosed (as mentioned above). The little portion of the room I'll be using is about 15 x 10.5 x 7 but it is open, but MUCH MUCH smaller in cubic feet. It's a corner in the room so...
Yup, all my stuff that I bought over at electronics expo was tax free for me. I paid Tax for my SVS though. I love your analogy about the V6- Turbo or the V8 N/A. Since I'd go with a V8 over a V6-Turbo, I think you have just sealed the deal for me with that analogy. I will order the HSU right...
I got off the phone with Pete from HSU. Please take what I am telling you now with a grain of salt because I may have misunderstood him but this is what he said about Epik vs HSU. He says that the Epik box is too small for it's 2 drivers and therefore is losing lots of dB from 80Hz - 35Hz. He...
 Haha you guys really don't want to make it easy for me. You have just put the HSU back into the game for me.... I'm going to have to play with numbers a bit and do a bit more research about whether I want the Epik or the HSU. The HSU is over budget but you guys say that the HSU has a...
I think I'll just go ahead and get the Epik. The most i'll lose is shipping costs (which is pretty darn high to be honest.... ). But I think in the grand scheme of things you want to be happy with the equipment you bought and not constantly think "I should have could have..." The HSU VTF 15 was...
I have the PB12-NSD that I purchased after reading up on it a lot and comparing it with other subs in it's price range. I like the sub a lot and it absolutely destroys my old BIC F12. Only problem is that I have just learned about the Epik Empire. I paid $769,- + Tax for my SVS and the Empire is...
Yea my first Plugs I bought (unfortunately bought too few) were from Blue Jean and I like the slugs they provide. Once I decided to buy more, I looked at Monoprice and saw them for much cheaper than at Blue Jean and at first I assumed that they all come with the slugs... I was wrong, the...
Sorry to highjack this thread but I also have a quick question about dB's. I read the article David Willow posted. For example, my Center channel is at 92 db sensitivity. Does that mean that when I set my Receiver to 0 db (reference volume), my center is running at 92db + 4db due to it being in...
If done right, the plugs connect really tightly to the wire, but remember to NOT forget the little banana plug inserts you should have gotten with your plugs. They look like small copper plugs. They sit on TOP of the piece of wire that pokes out of the bottom part of the plug. It helps to...
Sorry, didn't know where else to post this. Is it just me or does War of the Worlds look terrible in comparison to other BluRay movies let's say like Thor or Avatar or Sweeny Todd. I get a somewhat pixelated picture... like a grainy picture. I don't think it has anything to do with my Hardware...
Well, I'm being told that those dots are normal. They aren't really visible from my seating position, I was just curious if I may have had a defective cable or anything similar. This effect is called "dithering" Ray
I've seen it before and I always thought that it's possibly normal but I am getting curious now. When I watch a BluRay movie, I see these extremely small red and green dots flying across the entire screen. Sitting at about 6 feet away you won't see them, but if you look at it from 1 foot away...
