Shout! Factory's article on how to detect a bootleg release...

Thank you guys for helping me figure out that one of my DVD sets is a bootleg release. I received The Good Wife - Season 3 as a Christmas gift from my sister back in 2012. I hadn't gotten around to watching it until now and immediately was taken aback by the poor picture quality in comparison to...

Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest or Knots Landing?

Knots Landing, by a mile. The only one of the four where none of the regular characters ever got recast (a big no-no in my book, recasting only affected kids or minor recurring characters on this show) and the only one that remained character-driven from start to finish. While Dallas and Dynasty...

Weeds Season 6 and The Good Wife Season 1.

Most appreciative in TV DVD collection?

That's an easy one for me: I have to give it to Everwood, because I used to think that Seasons 2 to 4 would never see the light of day on DVD, after the sales for Season 1 were so far down below expectations it resulted in a 5-year gap between the first two releases. Come August 2nd, I will...

No, that's not Michael Richards. This actor is named Joseph d'Angerio. It's a scene from the pilot episode that appears in the opening credits.

WHV Announcement: Everwood: The Complete Fourth Season

That is good news indeed. This magnificent series deserves to be released with whatever bonus material is available. I don't mind waiting seven weeks for a better end product. I'm so glad the show is going to be completed on DVD when three years ago, chances it would be looked extremely slim.

    Melrose Place

You would think they could have taken less than a whopping 18 months for a lousy 13-episode set, wouldn't you? At this rate, it'll take ten years for the complete series to be out. Season 1 was released back in November 2006. Also, why on Earth did they edit Jamie Luner (Lexi) out of that cast...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

I finally got around to buying all five seasons of Angel and also got Season 3 of ER. That leaves me with "only" 12 to go in order to complete the series. :)

    Most requested "stalled" show?

Glad to read two of my personal most wanted, Knots Landing and Peyton Place, are among those most asked about. Mentioning the other titles in my signature would be redundant but here are a couple more shows I would like to see further releases of: The Practice, Life Goes On, Who's the Boss...

Best Hopes for TV DVD's in 2011

I don't want to be disappointed, so I won't make any unrealistic wishes. Right now, I just hope Warner releases Everwood - Season 4 and does not do it in MOD, because as an overseas buyer, I don't have access to these titles.

Do you think the Season 7 sets of THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW are now the ones with the correct Disc 3? I ordered it from overseas and I don't know if they would send the replacement disc internationally if I get the wrong one.

FALCON CREST: The Complete 2nd Season R1

I'd be really surprised if it turned out that this show sold better than KNOTS LANDING. It's always referred to as the least popular of the four big '80s primetime soaps.

Regarding Boston Public and Chicago Hope, I would be interested in those too. As well as further releases for David E. Kelley's other shows, Picket Fences and The Practice, both brilliant series that only got one release each back in June 2007.
