The first I remember buying is "It's a Gift" after seeing it on public television station. Have owned it on DVD, and recently purchased the Blu-ray.W.C. Fields has always been a favorite, and this one my absolute favorite, watch it at least once a year.
Easy pre-order for Me, even though I have the Kino 1920-23 shorts collection. Recently purchased "The Cook" which looked pretty good on dvd, hoping the blu ray version blows me away as it has become one of my favorite films.
Have been watching some old theatrical MGM cartoons on the boomerang channel recently,"Barny Bear",Tex Averys "Wolfy" character, and others, they show a 30 minute block of these on weeknights.Anyway, was wondering if any of these MGM theatrical cartoons are available on DVD.Any info appreciated, thanks.
Bought "Police Squad" the complete series. It`s too bad they only made 6 episodes of this, but they are definitely gems.I laughed out loud during every episode, very funny, highly recommended.
In reference to the title of this thread:so you`re saying that if you don`t dress nice,or know how to play golf, then you`re not deserving of Gods love?
I read somewhere that Warner has bought the rights to these books, would love to see the first three novels made in to movies.Anyone have any info on this?
I do like the Beatles somewhat, but they are highly overrated imo,it just pisses me off that they get credit from so many people for doing the first concept album, and using the studio as a true instrument, when in fact Zappa and the Mothers were doing it years before the Beatles were even heard of...
Isn`t it about time for "Looney Tunes Golden Collection volume 5" to be released,I anxiously await the golden collection release every year, just wondering if anyone had any info on this.
"The Heads-No Talking Just Heads" The Talking Heads without David Byrne, with various guest vocalists instead. An amazing album,I think one of the songs got some air play, but not much. Also ,have to agree with the Adrian Belew post, this man is incredible.I saw him in the 90`s playing as David...
The Leather album(spelled Lather on the cover, with a picture of a cow)is an amazing 3 disc set that covers almost all aspects of Zappas music, highly recommended. Also "One Size Fits All".For more mainstream appeal there`s "Hot Rats" and "Zoot Allures",but in my oppinion, you just can`t go wrong...
I love Barbara Stanwyck, just watched "Ball Of Fire" on TCM tonight, hadn`t seen it in a long time, excellent movie. One of my other favorites of hers is "The Strange Love Of Martha Ivers"
Thanks for the info, was going to order it from Columbia house, but under format it says full screen, guess they are wrong, wouldn`t be the first time,as I ordered a movie from there not long ago that stated the format as full screen, but when I got it ,it was indeed widescreen. Thanks again for the info.
Does anyone know if "Scarecrow" with Al Pacino and Gene Hackman is available in widescreen on dvd(REG 1)I have found it at Columbia house and on Ebay, but only in full screen pan & scan.Haven`t seen this movie in years, but would love to own it,I just hate to have to break down and buy the pan &...
Imperial Earth-Arthur C. Clarke A World Out Of Time-Larry Niven These are just off the top of my head,I`m sure there will be many more once I start thinking about it.
I think Ricci is an excellent choice for Trixie, she kind of resembles an anime character with those big eyes.Very Excited about this movie, hope it lives up to my expectations.
The Empire Strikes Back, would definitely be at the top of my list.Every time that I watch it,it makes me want to see the next movie, and I usually don`t watch Empire without watching The Return of the Jedi soon after.
