PS3 and the Harmony 880 Remote.

The power on/off thing bothers me most of all because I use my ps3 to play music on my stereo. My g/f can't just hit one button to do it all. Instead, I am trying to teach her how to use the ps3. She still just uses her ipod and says that my system is too complicated, but only when talking about...

PS3 and the Harmony 880 Remote.

I just wish Sony would realize the market that wants infrared ability. I am sure there are a lot of people who would love to be able to completly control their ps3 with an infrared remote. Right now you have to use the controler or actually touch the ps3 to turn it on and off. My g/f doesn't...

PS3 and the Harmony 880 Remote.

schmartz.com This guy is selling a little nicer infrared device for the ps3. He also sells one that will turn off the ps3, but it is about $50. They do look better on the front of the ps3 also. This is what I will buy when I get tired of using the controller.

Blockbuster to favor Blu-ray HD discs over DVD format

A local news station just did a story on this. I think this is a big blow to hd-dvd because the publicity that blu-ray is getting for this. I don't remember my local news station ever doing a story on hd-dvd vs blu-ray. Here's a quote I thought was interesting in the article: Here is the full...

    Thinking about buying a motorcycle.

Chad: I have never been to paragon and don't have any reason to go there:) . I just moved to martinsville about 1 1/2 years ago to get out of Indy and buy a house with acreage. I have been doing a lot of reading at totalmotorcycle.com. I don't mean to stray you from here but alot of the...

    Thinking about buying a motorcycle.

I think you are talking about the kill switch. Southeast of indy huh? Around shelbyville? I am down in martinsville. I am looking at getting a motorcycle next year. You can pick up a service manual so you can do your own maintenance if you want. Going over gravel isn't too bad as long as...

    WOW it hurts

I think an spl meter would benifit you now, before you even get the subwoofer. If your speakers and current sub aren't setup correctly now, you will notice a huge improvement. If you think those tubes are huge, look at the pb12-plus/2. It is basically a table. Seriously, have you looked at...

    WOW it hurts

Unless you already have an amplifier to drive one of the cs models, I would go with a pc model. You will end up spending more money on the cs model combined with a quality amp to match the pc model. I think you are smart for looking at the 20-39 as that should go low enough for you and for...

    HT size limitation

You can get paint really flat & dark if you look. Also, since you will have to do something with the sound reflections anyway, you may be able to just hang up some nice curtains on the side walls. This would take care of some sound and most of your light reflections. Light reflections can be...

    HT size limitation

I would think your biggest concerns would be with sound reflections, which can be taken care of with several sound absorbing materials. I think your second biggest concern would be seating. You will need to be able to walk around the furniture easily. I don't think a full size couch would be...

    SVS overkill?

Did you mean sq ft or cubic ft? Have you emailed svs with the size of your room, in cubic foot, and told them what kind of bass you want? If that is sq ft, you would need the /2 version. If that is cubic ft, you don't need the /2 version, although it is always better to have headroom and to...
