Buy.com for online, I have seen them have a few HD-DVD's cheaper then amazon by the time you figure in the shipping but thats without the 10% off or whatever it is that people use with amazon. Locally I would say Target has the most in most locations.
Speaking of Batman Begins, I was comparing the HD-DVD with the version they had on Comcast today and WOW what a diffrence, The comcast image is more soft with little detail while the HD-DVD version is razor sharp. I just didn't realize how big of a jump it was till i did a comparison.
I have pretty much the same setup as you, around 7' ceilings and concrete floors, Initially when we built this addition to the house there were some leaks but we got that all taken care of and now i just have regular carpet padding and carpet on top of it, I have had no problems with this setup...
Well i've decided to repaint my home theater, The Black is just too dark and depressing. After my home theater was designed i painted it a color called black magic made by Benjamin Moore and then later i painted the front wall a misty evening color after i got a projector (I have a Mitsubishi tv...
Guy's check out Buy.com most of there prices on HD-DVD's beat's amazon's and if you use google checkout you get $10 off a $30 or more order (not sure how many times you can do this though) Im going to pick up Unleashed and Tokyo Drift Google Checkout
Romar: You made the right choice when you got the HD-A1 instead of the 360 Add-on, I to was faced with the same decision and i probably would have ended up selling the HD-DVD drive off on ebay if i would have went that route cause the sound improvement is just too good to pass up. I also...
Same thing happend to me but in my case i couldn't see the buttons completly because of overscan, I tryed the left button and it did what you refer to then i tryed the other one and it worked but my connection wasn't working right at the time so i decided to just download the official firmware...
I doubt Sony will make it but there are a ton of people with xbox 360's and if you go to any of the xbox 360 forums they are flooded with people that have either preordered or are geting the HD-DVD drive, I think sense the 360 drive is external it will be of better quality then the internal DVD...
Congrats! So far ive bought from Best Buy and Target, Sams club has them to i think (at least they do on there website) I think im going to stop buying from Best Buy, They are HD-DVD bashers its really insane how far they go to turn people away from HD-DVD, I have seen them setup HD-DVD demos...
I doubt either format will be a dead format, The reason being is the Xbox 360 has the HD-DVD drive coming out and the PS3 has the Blu-ray so there will always be people that will want these formats, (maybe not Sony, Depends on how many people buy into it but we already know the Xbox 360 is doing...
By the way, I decided to give HDMI a try on my Mitsubishi 48" CRT with a DVI cable and HDMI adapter and i like the picture even more then component! It seems like there is more depth to the picture with HDMI, Ive always heard to always use component with a CRT but i guess it just depends on the tv.
Bought a Toshiba HD-A1 yesterday and have it hooked up threw component to my Calibrated Mitsubishi 48413 and analog 5.1 to my Harmon Kardon AVR-235, Words simply cannot describe how incredible this thing is. I almost had to get use to the Video quality cause im not use to seeing HD with such...
Well I decided to buy an HD-A1 yesterday and boy am i glad i did! The lossless audio makes a huge diffrence for me, The added quality completly brings the movie to life and i could not imagine having HD-DVD without it. I enjoy the lossless audio as much if not more then the HD video.
The HDMI adapter was a mixup, The HD-DVD drive will only output threw Component Video or VGA, 720p and 1080i threw component and 720p, 1080i AND 1080p threw VGA :) The only drawback for me that is really bugging me is it won't support the new HD lossless audio formats sense you can only output...
Im almost 23 and have had every nintendo system nes on up besides a couple handhelds and for me no other games have the same feel as nintendo games like zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing ect Probably cause i grew up with them. Thats not to say i dislike other games i have an xbox 360 but the Wii...
Bought a premium 360 the first of this month and it worked fine till i tryed saints row on it, It first froze during the game so i rebooted it and got the red lights, Unpluged and pluged back in after a few minutes and it worked fine till i played that game again. I exchanged the game at the...
