Haven't picked up Madden yet, but between Guitar Hero II, Dead Rising anf Gears of War, alone, there have been countless productive hours lost to the void.
The Falcon chipset will almost surely resolve the RRoD problems, but I wouldn't wait just for that. HDMI versions are now out, and given the excellent games coming out this month alone, I'd go for it.
I have to say I'm surprised that so many units had problems. Wow...you know, the original Xbox got absolutely hammered in the marketplace. The 360, however, looked like a stoke of genius - first to market, expanded Xbox Live, excellent pricing vis-a-vis the PS3, options vs. manadatory, lower...
No worries. I ended up getting a used HK 45. It has the pre-outs + 2 digital inputs, which is all I need/. Yeah, the 45 has shaky reliability, but the price was right and the original owner admitted he had had a problem, but got it serviced. Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.
My first HT setup was a Pioneer HTIB, refurbished, that I paid about $380 for. The receiver is still a great unit, but the connection are out of date, and the speakers are still in great shape. I bought this back in 2001. I would definitely recommend a good HTIB to a a friend because it's a...
You can get double-sided tape anywhere. Check an office supply store like Staples. Most supermarkets will carry them in the aisle where they sell regular scotch tape. It's also called poster tape (or a variant thereof).
I'd love to do that, but the speakers are really cheap, and I'm using them in the upstairs tv room, rather than in the theatre downstairs. So it'd be hard for me to justify that kind of money, unfortunately. I'm really looking to cap at $250.
Well, I haven't yet had my 360 for a year, so we'll see what happens. I only know one person who has had to send his box in, but between him and his brother, they play that thing 4-6 hours per day. My box is in the basement, very cool, and used on average for maybe 6-12 hours a week. I don't...
Thanks! Found a used one, but not sure where the price will end up. I made a mistake re: need - actually, don't need the component inputs. Really, just need 2 digital inputs + 5.1 pre-outs. Basically, this will act as a DAC.
I'm definitely interested. I need to check on two small things and I'll get back to you, ASAP. (just had our second baby this morning, so life's a bit crazy)
I recently bought a jWin 701 wireless surround sound system. As I'm unpacking it, I realize that I may not be able to properly connect it. The 701 requires a 5.1 input from a DVD player, but requires RCA cables. Two problems for me: 1) none of my DVD players have 5.1 RCA outputs (all have...
