Hello all, I just got a nice x-plosion DTS connect card, and some DTS logitech z-5500 speakers, but I was wondering, what software do I need to run and how do I need to run it in order to get the full features? I have this ac3 filter thing that I am supposed to install for my winamp to do dts...

Like a OTA HD signal cant be as good as a wired HD signal.

THAT is the info I needed to know. Thanks so much, then all I need is a good HD tuner, nothing special. Just has to have a remote. Isnt it kinda weird to have HD over the air though? You would think that since it isnt wired it would look just like HD from loss of signal... ?

Just to clerify, You say that I can ONYL watch OTA HD channels with any computer based hd tuner, does that mean that even if my satalite picked up HD that I wouldnt be able to watch it on any computer based HD tuner? Does the super bowl go on OTA HD?

hmmmm the HDTV one looks like its software powered, witch I guess iz bad... and im not sure the ATI all in wonder is HD...

Hello all, I am stuck, I just bought my z-5500 speakers and now im looking for a HD tv tuner card so I can watch TV on my computer. Im pretty sure there here in pullman (WSU satalite TV) that there arnt (read if any) HD channels, but im quite sure that a HD card would be better in general right...

well thats the thing. :0) Im basically getting a whole new machine. Right now I only have an amd 64 3200 with a 9800 (regular not all in wonder) video card, and 1 GB or ram. Its great for running counter strike, but I dont even have a TV tuner right now. obviously a x1900 will be a better video...

Hi, I am bout to buy all my computer parts for my new HT system. Is there any reason not to go x1900 all in wonder, and just get a regular nvidia video card and a seperate TV tuner card? Thanks.

I don't think I need the wireless speakers, but I am a little confused. It's MSRP is 500$ for the wireless compared to 400$ for the normal one, but I found the wireless ones for 198$, and the wired for only 280$.... *confused* ($195 wireless...

ok, so I am throwing out the idea for the computer chairs. Very cool idea but ... yeah I think the $ would be better used putting it into the speaker system. Now into the speaker system, is there any reason to go 7.1? Does anything use/output 7.1? I think I will just stick with 5.1...

haha ok, Im going to ... try and do a LITTLE better then that. Maybe have a stereo VCR. Or N64. :0) (I'm really having trouble finding a good sound card. I guess the x-fi sound blasters have some "crystalizer" technology that make DVDs better?) Also still confused how to get true 5.1...

One more quick question... How do I get true 5.1 to the speakers if only 1 output cable is going from my computer to one input in my speakers?
