I remember when the film was released in theaters, the newspaper ads for the various theaters would list which ending they were showing (A, B or C) which was helpful for anyone wanting to see all three. I didn't see it until it came out on VHS, which showed all three endings consecutively.
I...
I don't trust anyone but CinePost to do this type of work for me. The owner is Myron Lenenski. It helps that they're in the same city as I am, but if you're not fearful to ship material (assuming you live outside of the Atlanta area), they do great work.
I love the Columbo episodes from the 1970s and always try to catch them when they air on TV (COSI usually shows them on weekends). I'm sure I've seen every episode, some multiple times. Mainly for personal reasons, my favorite episode is the one where Robert Conrad plays the fitness guru...
I'm curious as to which version of the opening credits is shown on this new disc- the original 1973 version or the digitally altered version? My apologies if this question has already been asked and answered.
Not likely Lucas would ever allow an original version of anything to be released...
Yup, I had the same thought, but I've never bought (or considered buying) a "defective" set before, so I never paid attention to how long it usually takes for companies to address these situations.
I'm debating whether I should get this now, or wait. "Rocky II" is my least favorite of the 4 films, but I'd like to know if they're going to be issuing corrected sets or not. I'm curious as to whether they'll offer a replacement program or sneakily ("slyly"?) slip fixed sets in without making...
Same here, I just wish we had a choice. I only watch the originals on the non-anamorphic DVDs (and various fan versions that used them as a foundation).
The last time I watched the "special editions" (which was a long time ago, and the final time for me), the CG effects seemed dated. If FX are...
So...the original 1983 version of ROTJ? Or the 1997 Special Edition? Or the most recent version with blinking Ewoks?
There's never been a question in my mind- I've loved it since opening day!
Same here! The audience applauded at the end, too.
I've always felt the opposite -...
But mistakes are still being made, and it's only a matter of time before another disaster. The Universal vault fire was only 14 years ago, and not only were master recordings lost (everybody from Billie Holiday to Cheryl Crow), but films and videotapes also. No sprinklers! Safety copies? Stored...
I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree. MGM didn't intentionally destroy their silent films to reclaim silver or shelf space like some studios did, but what happened in that 1965 vault fire was no less negligent than the Universal fire in 2008.
No safety copies in alternate locations, no...
It's why Chaney's "London After Midnight" no longer exists. The studios saw no value in silent films and had no foresight about the future home video market.
Even though I grew up in the 1980s, I actually never saw this film until just a few months ago. I watched the trailer afterwards and noticed a few deleted shots the review mentioned (Chuck crashing his truck & smashing the hood with his fist, etc.)
So, there are no deleted scenes on the...
Thanks, I think I will try that if I ever have any interest in recording something from that channel again. It will require moving some equipment, though, which will be a pain. Normally I don't record movies from channels like "THIS" which shows commercials and speeds up the credits to cram them...
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I didn't get any search results for the topic...
The other day, I tried to record a movie on the "THIS" tv network, via Comcast (the movie channel owned by MGM), and my Toshiba DVD recorder couldn't record it. I don't know that I've ever tried to...
Glad to see you got the Brennan. I was curious about that little gadget!https://www.hometheaterforum.com/community/threads/anybody-have-the-brennan-b2-for-streaming-cd-ripping.358902/

So sad. I was absolutely shocked when I heard the news this morning. I liked her a lot in "Addicted To Love". In 1977 John Travolta lost his girlfriend Diana Hyland to breast cancer, as well. He must be totally devastated.
KC alluded to the song "Miss B." in his tribute/post- a song he wrote for her and that was featured on The Sunshine Band's instrumental album "The Sound Of Sunshine":
Best known for her 1971 hit "Clean Up Woman", she won a Grammy for Best R&B Song with "Where Is The Love" (not to be confused with the Roberta Flack song with the same name), co-written with her label-mate Harry "KC" Casey. RIP.
In the process of trying to trap this little girl and her twin sister-- if you know anyone who lives in Georgia who wants to adopt a sister pair, let me know! I have 5 rescues already and I don't think another 2 will go over very well!
Are all the daytime episodes of Hollywood Squares from 1979 gone?
I guess a gameshow like Musical Chairs (which had the first African-American host) is likely a goner.
Did you ever find this performance? LOL. I know, it's been a while since you posted that. I've seen a couple old clips of Teri and KC on YouTube recently, but one of them is from American Bandstand and I'm not sure about the other:
I would love to see ALL of the Midnight Special shows...
I knew it wasn't "Midnight Special" because I'm pretty familiar with the sets they used, but when I started checking out YouTube clips of 70s variety shows, "Dinah!" was fortunately the first one I looked at and it just happened to be it! Looks like they've taken down the Michael Jackson clip...
