I know it's changed hands a few times but what about "The Bill Dana Show" Last time I remember seeing it broadcast anywhere was CBN and has certainly been out of syndication and viewing for many years now.
I agree on any scope titles. I was actually surprised to see that three of the titles I had inquired about with VUDU actually got fixed recently. Jeremiah Johnson, Kissin' Cousins and It Happened At The World's Fair. I almost fell out of my chair to see that something actually got fixed on...
Curious what your take is on so many titles digitally being in the wrong aspect ratio. Maybe I am too much of a purist but when purchasing a title I expect it to be the correct aspect ratio (unless of course it's been noted than one doesn't exist). I guess 1:78:1 when it should be 1:85:1 isn't...
Can't believe it's already been 10 years since the Criterion release. One of my all time favorite movies I can remember when MGM first released that double cassette in Widescreen and how exciting it was to get the film in its OAR. I vaguely remember as a kid watching it on tv when ABC or CBS...
The 12 disc sets are the original releases, they have a copyright of 2001 on them. As far as I can tell, the only difference is the lack of the bonus disc 13 in the newer sets but maybe someone can confirm if the episodes are the same or not in both sets
I received the same set. It's 12 discs but doesn't contain the 13th bonus disk. This set is an older pressing (2004 I think). whereas the newer set has the seasons broken out into their own cases, Shout did the same thing with the Bob Newhart Show reissue issuing them by season in the box...
I was hoping they were going to let you choose 100 out of a list of titles especially since like all of you, I already own several in the list. On VUDU no option for UHD since not all titles are 4K yet either. That $100 bill just went back in my wallet :)
Catchy being part of METV is using the same edited prints. They run about 22:05 without commercials versus their roughly 24-25 minute network original versions. Too bad with all of these classic tv stations, someone hasn't had the initiative to run a classic tv channel with shows uncut. For...
John, there are numerous series I would love to see get a full, complete series release but will probably never see the light of day. It's interesting in that I can remember years ago (late 90's) having a discussion with a WB sales rep when dvd's had taken off like wildfire and they were...
would be nice to see this get a release, but i'm sure needs full restoration. The few prints I've seen in existence were very washed out and as was stated prior in black & White
Does anyone have an idea of just how much it would cost for restoration on these. Wondering if a kick starter fund raising (ala what was started for the Ozzie & Harriet shows) would bring enough funds for these to be restored and finally see the light of day
Nice list of pickups, i scored a few myself this week
Caught (4K)
Escape From Alcatraz (4K)
Misery (4K)
Nightmare Alley (4K)
Odd Couple
Running Man (4K)
Sherlock Holmes & The Scarlet Claw (trying to finish this set, seems sporadic when 1 or 2 are on sale for $4.99)
Top Gun (4K)
seems as though...
VUDU for the most part has worked well, my biggest disappointment is purchasing a title and then finding out the print they have is a modified version NOT in the correct aspect ratio. As everyone knows already, getting them to correct it., well you might have a better chance of winning the...
Enter The Dragon and the 3 Naked Gun films have also upgraded to 4K Disappointing if you've already purchased prior titles in HD there's no instant upgrade or even a discount to upgrade. What a racket!
I've been slowly converting my hard copy blu ray and dvd collection to digital and must say have been very happy with VUDU, especially with their constant sales. However as I sat to watch the HD version of Enter The Dragon the other evening I noticed it was not the full 2:39: ratio (except for...
Money From Home is a definitely a Runyon problem ala A&C's It Ain't Hay. Three Ring Circus was held up due to a rights problem. Wasn't able to find out the exact issue but something could not be cleared for it's release. Let's hope for a Volume 3 in the future with Money, Circus and a newly...
They got it, I think it's a July release, just got info on it today and I don't have the sheet handy but Criterion is releasing IF... and those good ole Paramount logos are there. Looks like we can expect some other Paramount titles to now get super deluxe treatment through Criterion.
90% of the Wanner double features have been coming in Fullscreen. I don't know why they aren't offering both FS double features and WS double features. Most of these titles when they were originally released were offered in FS and WS either on the same disc or separate discs. (Yes a fullscreen...
And you can add "It Takes A Thief" to your list too. A series Universal was originally suppose to release. It's been out of circulation for a very long time and given Shout's release of Ironside would seem to fall right in perfectly with their releases. Here's hoping anyways
Considering the first set included 8 titles, it would make sense that 8 are included in this one as well. Maybe it's there and was mistakenly omitted from the info DB obtained. Have to check with my sources as well and see what I can find out. Doesn't appear to be a movie that would be held up...
