Didn't Hughes record a commentary for this film for one of the S-DVD releases? If so, it's a shame it's not included here, especially given his passing.
I'm guessing by the time they "fix" this, owning hard copies of movies will be a thing of the past, and thus needless. Of course, manufacturers may already think this, and thus have a "why bother" mindset when all signs point to digital/cloud ownership rather than physical.
I recently bought a basic home theater set up - HD TV, blu-ray player, home theater audio system - and have been loving the improved picture and audio. However, I've noticed that the blu discs I have (and I don't have many, yet) don't seem to "remember" where they were if I stop them during the...
I don't know if Joanne Whalley's been mentioned in this thread yet....but she should have been. At 47, I think she gives Diane Lane competition for sizzling hot actresses over 40.
Jason, I think you nailed the issue on the head. My friend came over (he's also a HTF member) and the problem was I was looking for the TV signal on the original input the cable guy assigned it to, instead of the "new one" associated with the HDMI cable. As far as the TV is concerned, both...
Jason, thanks! I have a very knowledgeable friend coming over tonight, but I will try your advice and see if it works. Assuming the fix is this simple, I don't understand why the TWC wouldn't tell me this. It would have been a 30 second conversation, and I would have been willing to give him...
Jason: The cable box DOES have an HDMI port, and I have open HDMI ports on the receiver. Right now, there are five cables from the "out" ports in the cable box going to the TV itself. So you're saying disconnect those, use the HDMI to go right to the receiver? For whatever reason, there...
Don't know if this is the right forum, but thought I'd give it a shot. Just bought and set up my first home theater system. Here are the components: Panasonic VIERA TC-P42S30 42-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Yamaha YHT-393BL 5.1 Channel 500 Watt HTiB System Sony BDP-S380 Blu-ray Disc...
Love these kinds of threads. This one saved me a boatload of money on the four HDMI cables I bought for my new (and first!) home theater system. The people at Best Buy tried to convince me that more expensive HDMI cables were better, but I said, "Nope," and bought the four for a fraction of the...
She's actually much hotter as a brunette. I posted some pics of her in that thread earlier this year. But nothing to sneeze at in skintight latex and platinum blonde hair, either.
More Christina Hendricks.

Allison Smith, whom I know from The West Wing. These pictures don't do her justice; she's a great combination of smoking hot and classic beauty.

Especially for pix like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/patcave/5016955285/in/set-72157625016982528/ Holy crap. That redhead...wow. I need to get to Dragon*Con next year.
