I have the speakers and a semi-decent budget receiver, having this would just be some very nice icing on the cake!
The kids really enjoy having our modest home theater setup, I've found it keeps their attention more than watching a movie on the TV speakers.
My ideal setup is whatever I can...
I'd love to have a capable receiver after losing my last Onkyo/Integra to a thunderstorm. :(
I'm using a cheaper Onkyo in the mean time, but it's not exactly feature laden.
I experienced Dolby Atmos for the first time last month in a theater while watching Mad Max: Fury Road and was blown away...

I've consolidated my remotes to one cheap universal remote and my TV remote. It's frustrating using the universal, so I use the normal remotes sometimes anyway.
I need something more powerful and easier!
Isn't this why movies are rated? You should pretty much know going into a movie is there's going to be things like that.
My daughters head never exploded from hearing curse words (as far as I know).

I am also a paraplegic who cannot move from my chair, and I used to have a TV exactly like yours. The damn thing wouldn't turn off, and I couldn't change the channel or volume. I am SO glad I got rid of that thing!
I enjoy the voiceovers (by Dexter) at the end of alot of episodes while the slow music plays. It kind of winds you down after what is usually a frenetic episode, and it gives clues to what is coming. Excellent!
I honestly expected this show to get worse as it went along, but it's become better with every episode.
It seems more real than most shows out there. Reality is hard to achieve with a scripted series, especially about the subjects that this show deals with and it does wonderfully.

Your question is kind of related to my question. Do you mix for perfection (5.1, flat response, on a perfect system), and let the equipment it's played on sort it out (downmix to stereo/mono), or mix for a type of compatibility?
When listening to final (or near final) mixes, do you only listen to them on the studio system (I assume a calibrated and flat response system), or do you also listen to them on a few different outside sources as well (actual TVs, other systems)?
At a convention of television critics during the summer of 2005, executive producer Chuck Lorre confirmed that the show's opening tune is performed by studio musicians and not by actors Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones (who merely lip-sync the lyrics). One of the actual crooners is...
Although I don't like some of the storylines of the past few seasons, I think the show would be pretty stale by now if they would have stuck to the original formula. Priya is becoming worse, but it obviously leads to an end for them, and I think it was always meant to turn out that way to give...
She offered him the iterim manager job, not the actual manager job. That's when she called Dwight immediately afterwards and offered him the interim manager position.
