Where are Home Improvement & 8 Simple Rules?

I've noticed that Disney hasn't announced Season 8 of Home Improvement yet - which is odd as they usually release a season in November and thus announce it during August. I know they deviated a little and did a release in August, as well as the usual May, so that could be why I guess ... I'd...

    Copyright Law Differences

I wonder if somebody could explain the differences in copyright law between Europe and the US, or the US and the world, which makes it so much easier to release shows with original music here in the UK? Like Ally McBeal?

    Universal UK - Jokers

I have bought a few Universal DVDs and am shocked at the levels of inaccruacy and general carelessness. Firstly, Monk was shot in widescreen from the start - yet Seasons 1-3 are not in Widescreen on your DVD, House Season 1 was also released in full screen 4:3 - when it was shot in widescreen...

    Roseanne

As I understand it, it is Anchor Bay who are choosing not to release uncut episodes of Season 1 - I understand it wasn't their intent to release cut episodes, but since an Australian company has released uncut Season 1 - Anchor Bay must be able to do that aswell - so they're choosing not to?

    Home Improvement - Extras Question

I found this article: http://movies.about.com/od/skippingc...ta111904_4.htm It questions Tim Allen about the DVDs and he says 'No (extras). It was a done deal'. What does that mean? I am sure it means we'll never get anything decent.

    CBS Paramount

I have Charmed Season 5 which features an array of CBS/Paramount logo's Firstly, on the spine CBS DVD, secondly, Paramount: A Viacom Company, Each disc also has CBS Paramount, CBS & Paramount. Why did they not reduce the logo's? Paramount doesn't even exist? How can it be a Viacom company...

    David E. Kelley shows

I am very glad to see DEK's shows are beggining to be put on DVD. Now, I'm not an expert on these but I imagine FOX are trying hard to get Ally McBeal on DVD - obviously music is an issue, and Chicago Hope is probably high up so what chances do we have of seeing Picket Fences. I am just...

Buena Vista TV Sitcoms - what is wrong with them?

Boy Meets World: Seasons 1 & 2 were released with a good array of commentaries, not a bad selection of extra's. Season 3 released with a cheap quiz - then Season 4 was pulled, I am guessing bad sales after a terrible release. Home Improvement: Season 1 had three commentaries and a clip reel...

    Do you read reviews first?

I was wondering how many people here read reviews for DVD Sets before buying? Not living in the US, I can't just go down to the store and impulse buy - so I usually check out Online Reviews (SitcomsOnline is usually the best).

    CBS Paramount Television

I have heard rumors than CBS Paramount may now distribute DVD's instead of Paramount? I noticed on the Frasier: Season 8 packaging a CBS logo was present while it was not on Cheers 8/Charmed 5 - does this mean we could see Frasier with extra's from CBS? I am rather confused, these rumors...
