Kick arse!!! I'm especially impressed with the rear R-5650-S in wall dipole speakers...awesome, awesome, awesome! The bass from the sub completely fills the room and you can't pinpoint where the bass is coming from, it completely surrounds you. Love it!
Hey, great! I didn't know they made HDMI switches, that was going to be my next question. So which brand of HDMI switch would give me the best results?
It has a molded bezel around the air vent on the top and bottom and sitting it on the table w/out the stand would cover the hole and also cause the speaker to lean either pointing up or down. You can see the bezel on the side here.
The guy who ran the speaker wire inside the walls for me and installed my rear in-wall speakers swears by Ethereal and included a set of those in my invoice. The Ethereal HDMI cable was only $38. Being pretty new to this my first impression was "there has to be a reason why Monster cables are...
I have setup the Linksys wireless print server with HP all-in-ones and a Samsung laser all-in-one. I have not had a problem with either...stick with an HP printer and you'll be safe. I have also used Netgear wired print servers and those setup very easy. As far as the print server goes, stick...
Is it worth spending the extra money and getting those Monster Ultra THX 1000 cables? Link to monster THX cables or would somthing like Ethereal be just as good (or better) link to Ethereal cables
OK, I'll try to clarify... That is what the TV is sitting on. Here is the problem: The speaker with the stand is just a little too tall. I measured before I bought, but I thought the dimensions included the stand...apparently not.
I have set up many of the Linksys wireless print servers and you do have to connect it with an ethernet cable to your router for configuration. These things should be a breeze to configure, all you need is you SSID (wireless network name) and your security key or passphrase. If you insert the...
I just got the new speakers...I got three Klipcsh RVX-42's for the front three and an RW-10 sub and R-5650-S in walls for the rear spakers for a 5.1 system.
I was told that I should hook the DVD player up with the HDMI because some DVD players won't upconvert if they are connected with component video. I'm not sure if the Panasonic S97 that was delivered today will or not. New problem though...My TV is not wall mounted and I mounted one of the...
So which video cables should I use to connect the DVR and the DVD to the TV? I have one HDMI on the TV but both devices have HDMI outputs. Or should I skip the HDMI and hook both up with component video?
OK, sounds good so far. A couple more questions though: The H/K AVR 240 receiver has a "monitor out" that is component video. Would it still be optimal to do all video straight to the TV and all audio to the receiver? I don't care about convienence...I want the best audio and video quality...
I have the following equipment that tomorrow I will be receiving the last of: Panasonic 42" plasma HDTV (TH-42PX50U) Harman/Kardon AVR240 Panasonic S97 DVD player Motorola DCT6412 III (Cox DVR) Klipsch RVX-42 for the front left/right & center Klipsch R-5650-S for the rear left/right...
So how do the SVS compare the the Klipsch RSV-42? Just two of the Klipsch's cost about the same as the entire SVS 5.1 system. Am I paying for just the name with the Klipsch's? Why is there such a price difference?
Where do you guys recommend buying speakers online? I currently can't decide between Orb, Gallo, or Klipsch RVX-42. There is no place locally I can listen to any of these speakers so I only going by reveiws and recommendations.
I was checking out the SVS SBS-01 speakers and they look nice...they are much smaller than the cabinets my set with the 12" woofers are in. Are those going to be alot better sound quality than those BOSE speakers I was looking at? I was listening the the speakers in the audio room @ CC and (if...
Hi everyone, I found this forum last night...good thing I did! We just moved to a new (old) house and I struck a deal with my wife that I would let her get all new living room furniture if I can get a new HT. Being somewhat of a noob, the more I research the more confused I get. A little...
