If you guys haven't heard, Fortress is now available on DVD. The film is 16x9 and it actually looks pretty good for a low-budget TV movie that is 20 years old.
Well, I ended up buying the Canadian release, and despite the presence of several (7 of 28?) syndicated episodes, I am really enjoying this set. There's way more value here than with the Universal set. As far as the show itself, it's fun... nothing mindblowing, but an entertaining way to pass...

Wow. I was actually going to buy this disc despite the ridiculous price tag for only 6 eps. But with half of them being syndicated, forget it. Universal really dropped the ball on this one.
While we're waiting for this show to be released on DVD (which hopefully it will), it can currently be watched for free on the Web via AOL's In2TV service. The quality is actually very good if you download the full screen episodes. Check it out: http://television.aol.com/in2tv/eight_is_enough_tv
Whoa... Went to Best Buy today to pick up Growing Pains, and they had it for a few cents under $27. I think I'll be picking this one up at Target or Amazon.
