Out of Stock again at B & N - and checking my open orders on amazon.com order placed a few days ago at $19.99, it says this item will ship after December 25th - if ever is what I think.
Guess what... I just listened to Rare & OOP DVD's podcast... somebody, somewhere got the UPC code or something mixed up with the 2 disc special edition of HEAT... well 1900 IS NOT DISCONTINUED!!! it's the 2 disc SE of HEAT that is. let's the returns begin...
It appears Dark Sky Films have pulled their edition of KILL BABY KILL from release, or at least postoned it - it's no longer available for pre-order. Which makes this box set even more of a sweet deal - any one who loves gothic or 1960's Italian horror would be a fool to pass on this as a box...
Patrick, I believe that is incorrect, but I could be wrong - they aren't owned by Universal as far as I know - they were both originally released by Paramount
I saw in the Warner chat the mention of more classic horror for 2007 & 2008 - but with no specifics - I sure hope that they mean these 2 criminally neglected titles are part of their plans - any thoughts?
Rolando, I really think this is your loss... KILL BABY KILL is the last of Bava's gothics - and many consider it to be his masterpiece, the color photography and atmosphere are just stunning - I think it is a outstanding film. You're getting a Tim Lucas commentary on Black Sabbath (not...
Boy oh boy, You guys are a bunch of complainers - you're getting 5 Bava titles, cleaned up and remastered - new extra's, commentaries - all for a price now available at DDD for less than $30.00!!! That's $6.00 a movie - you have got to be kidding me not to be jumping all over this one...
Jim, there will be 2 versions of BLACK SUNDAY BLACK SUNDAY/THE MASK OF SATAN • 16x9-enhanced 1.66:1 transfer • Original Italian export English dub scored by Roberto Nicolosi • American International English dub scored by Les Baxter • English mono with subtitles • Audio commentary by...
Further info can be found at this link... http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=3671 it's my understanding that they will NOT be released as stand alone disc's - plus the box-set is a much better deal - considering you probably can get it at 30% off retail - so around $7 or so a disc...
coming this April 3rd - quoted from Tim Lucas' blog - Video Watchblog and this is some GREAT NEWS!!! Quote: BLACK SABBATH / THE THREE FACES OF FEAR 1.77:1/16:9 (both) English and Italian versions with English subtitles Featurette: Mark Damon interview Tim Lucas audio commentary...
Danny, Did you enjoy the movie? A glowing review from Ian Jane at DVD Talk: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23671 how about a review from the HTF people?
Check out this rave review, which calls it NoShame Films best release yet and one of the year's best: http://10kbullets.com/reviews/dark-w...mited-edition/
Well, I blind bit and I'm glad I did! I received my Special Edition 2 Disc DVD Set and have already hung the amulet on the wall as part of the household Halloween decorations - it's a great item. The movie is really a superior visual and audio sensory experience - the photography...
The producer/label NoShame Films has sold all 3000 copies and is completely sold out (obviously they sell them to esellers, distributors and bricks & mortar) - so when the stores sell out of them they're gone.
resin, ahhhh yes resin - that makes more sense... I enjoyed your review Mark... hey how about someone here at HTF reviewing this mostly unknown & underappreciated little jem.
I heard on other boards that the Special Edition 2 DVD set (limited to a pressing of only 3000 copies) which also includes an actual stone (plaster) amulet (available only in the SE, as is a 48 page booklet on the film) has already sold out - a few sites (DVD Talk, digitallyObsessed, DVD...
why is this not on DVD? Saw this on TCM last night for the 1st time in at least 20 years - amazing film - very well directed and creepy as hell even 73 years later. There was a Universal Logo followed by a Paramount when the film began - this one needs to be restored and given the royal...
ERIC, Here are a few of my favorites, not named by you - many are released by Blue Underground & Anchor Bay: DJANGO MANNAJA, A MAN CALLED BLADE FOUR FOR THE APOCOLYPSE THE BIG GUNDOWN THE STRANGERS GUNDOWN (Django, The Bastard) - a definite influence on High Plains Drifter KEOMA...
Well, This thread "made" me take the plunge - ordered this through DDD's 20% off sale, so it was just $12.79 - hope it's not too much of a gross-out - oohhhh yeah I picked up Audition on the same order - prepare to coat thy stomach :D
