I used to have a Japanese laserdisc of VALENTINO. Needless to say, some naughty bits were digitally obscured. The more Russell on Blu-ray the better!

This is a GREAT batch of titles, but COUNT YORGA, VAMPIRE and SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN are two absolute all-time favorites I am very happy about!!!

Very true! Certainly TCM's recent broadcast of THE MERCENARIES was an up-convert.

Since Italian is on the menu at the moment, I would love to see a Blu-ray of Renato Polselli's THE VAMPIRE AND THE BALLERINA (1960) which is owned by MGM but is in need of an HD transfer. It was never on home video in this country.

From an MGM deal, I'm guessing THE MERCENARY or the SABATA sequels, but I'm most hoping for NAVAJO JOE :-)

I don't know any titles, but I've been told there are only rehashed horror titles (all stuff that's already available, but possibly repackaged) and no new-to-DVD titles. Let's hope the so-called Halloween schedule was still in its early stages and they'll add more (or listen to our requests) but...

Unfortunetely, it looks like rehashes are all we're gonna get this Halloween unless they actually listen to us and do a quick turnaraound. MGM/Fox is far, and I mean far from exhausting their library for horror and all other genres.

I voted for THE MUSIC LOVERS as well - excellent film. MGM is also holding out on Russell's SAVAGE MESSIAH and VALENTINO.

It looks like we're going to have to ask really, really hard. I asked a reliable press contact today if we were going to get any Midnite Movies or classic horror on DVD for Halloween from MGM, and the reply was simply, "nothing on the horizon."

At this rate, this is probably the only way we'll get any Midnite Movies this year!

Many of the titles I mentioned have shown up on cable TV in new MGM transfers in recent years. Not sure if they would use the same transfers for the imaginary DVDs that will never come out, but they do have the elements on most I'm sure. HORROR HOUSE was just on TCM Underground.
