    Roseanne Season 8--Edited

I think the cheapening of Season 8, probably has to do with Anchor Bay being taken over/merging with Starz. There has been a drop in quality of releases since they merged. As has been pointed out, it seems illogical that they could clear the use of theme tunes from shows like 'Bewitched' and...

True-Life Adventures - Color Issue on "Prowler of the Everglades"

The easiest way to tell if you have a bad copy is to look at the RKO title at the beginning of the film. It should be blue. If it is blue, it's fine. If it's red then you need a replacement.

R.I.P. Walt Disney Treasures series? See post #82!

Quite frankly If they even thought of putting Lasseter on these DVDs I'd quite literally go mad! I've got nothing against him or Pixar, but I just wish he'd stay away from anything Disney!

R.I.P. Walt Disney Treasures series? See post #82!

I think the Legacy Collection will become the new home for this sort of material in truth, they'll probably rerelease the whole Treasures line again, with introductions by Roy instead of Leonard, because they know fans will probably buy the stuff again to have a matching complete set. it's...

R.I.P. Walt Disney Treasures series? See post #82!

Well I've emailed Dick Cook with my thoughts, that pretty much echo everyone elses, although I also mentioned the incompletion of the Elfego Baca/Swamp Fox series, am I the only one who cares about the live action stuff? :p Would anyone consider starting an online petition? I'm sure those too...

Walt Disney Treasures: Wave Six - 12/19/2006

Well if you are worried about the problems with wave 6, it seems Treasures fans have more to worry about. Apparantly Leonard Maltin has confirmed that Wave 6 was the last and there will be no more additions to the Treasures series.

True-Life Adventures - Color Issue on "Prowler of the Everglades"

Yes, there is confirmation from some who have tested it that switching the red and blue component wires does offer a somewhat satisfactory "fix" for this problem.

True-Life Adventures - Color Issue on "Prowler of the Everglades"

Well on the DVD bonus features they state it was cinemascope. But regardless of whether it was or wasn't the fact remains that some copies of the DVD with a cinemascope ratio picture, whereas others have a zoomed in pan and scan version of the footage.

Walt Disney Treasures: Wave Six - 12/19/2006

Well I've checked my copy and there are no issues in these 2 Pluto shorts at the times you mention. Perhaps this issue is not as widespread. Also it could be that just your disc is scratched/defective.

True-Life Adventures - Color Issue on "Prowler of the Everglades"

The Disney Treasures Wave 6 thread goes into a bit of depth: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/...=241329&page=3 To summarise again the 3 issues are firstly during the short 'More Kittens' at 2:06 blocks/pixels appear on the screen and depending upon the hardward it seems to result in...

    Roseanne

Well no, people ordering an australian DVD from outside of Australia won't have to pay the Australian sales tax. So it would probably be cheaper even with shipping costs for anyone outside of Australia than it would be for someone who lives there. The same applies with the UK, anyone who...

    Roseanne

Just to return to the subject of the Australian season 1 of Roseanne having uncut episodes. I don't always trust the word of wikipedia, does anyone here have and confirm the truth of this? Becuase if it's uncut I'm ordering now!

Walt Disney Treasures: Wave Six - 12/19/2006

Unfortunately there are two further issues which have annoyed me above the More Silly Symphonies DVD. First of all 'The Night Before Christmas' is unfortunately edited. The Amos n Andy mammy part has been snipped out. Also when you watch the bonus feature when they discuss 'Goddess of...

True-Life Adventures - Color Issue on "Prowler of the Everglades"

Well I emailed BVHE customer services and they asked me to phone them to discuss the matter further. Only since I do not live in the US or Canada it would cost me a fortune. But for US/Canada residents they can phone BVHE for free the numbers are: (800) 723-4763 (Canada: 888 877-2843)...

    Muppet Show R2

The BBFC have passed the running times, to answer the question I'm sure you really want to know. All of them run 25 minutes give or take a few seconds and none of the musical sequences have been removed like they were for R1. 00:24:56:10 THE MUPPET SHOW - [RUTH BUZZI] 00:25:02:23 THE MUPPET...

That is exactly what the above Anchor Bay statement seems to be suggesting, that they would replace them.

Anchor Bay Press Release: Roseanne: Season One

Ok there may be some good news on the Roseanne situation and from a reliable source! It has also been announced that we will get the syndiction episodes on DVD for Season One. Naturally the UK fans are just as upset about this, and have complained to Anchor Bay UK. On the forum of their...

    3rd Rock Changes to DVDs

Well if the run time for Frozen Dick is converted to NTSC then the NTSc runtime would be 22m38s. So I think it's safe to conclude that the UK versions are uncut and the R1 DVDs are edited.

Anchor Bay Press Release: Roseanne: Season One

Now that this DVD out, can any die hard fans confirm exactly how much is missing? If anyone actually decided to get it that is! ;)

    3rd Rock Changes to DVDs

However don't forget that the PAL system used in the UK speeds up the film by 4%. So if the episodes on the UK DVDs were identical to the US then they would actually have a shorte run time than the R1.

    3rd Rock Also Cut

Since I don't have 15 posts I can't post a URL, but if you go to Amazon.co.uk and search for 3rd Rock and click on the cover art, each dvd has a bubble in which it says UNCUT! Now of course they could be lying on the packaging!

Anchor Bay Press Release: Roseanne: Season One

I have to say that when Roseanne was last broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK in around 2002 it was uncut. In the UK we don't cut episodes like the do in the States for syndication. Now if Channel 4 in the UK still owns the rights to unedited prints why can't they be put on DVD. Also I'm 100% sure...

    3rd Rock Also Cut

Could anyone compare the actual running times for each episode for the R1 and the UK releases? Also could anyone with the UK DVD check to see if the scene with Tommy and Sally is there in "Dick's First Birthday" on the UK copy? If the UK DVDs are unedited the Anchor Bay's official word on the...
