I hear you. I bought a cellular enabled watch 2.5 years ago for my mom because it afforded me some peace of mind with the fall detection feature. Additionally, I though she would find the heart rate features useful. But ultimately, after less than a month she gave it back to me. She couldn't get...
Interesting. I was already on iOS 14.0.1 and my Watch updated to 7.0.1 overnight. Took a mile long walk this morning and used Outdoor Walk on the Watch...still no route showing in the Fitness map on my iPhone afterward.
One big annoyance in iOS 14 (for now) is that if you use an Apple Watch, the Fitness app is no longer displaying routing information on the map for walks, runs, etc that you have done. It only displays a pin drop for the starting location.
Geez, it takes a pandemic to bring me back to the forum?? :wave-hello: It's hard staying upbeat during an elongated period of self-quarantine, seeing nothing but bad news and worrying about family, friends and colleagues. But I remember coming here on and in the days and weeks following 9/11...
Overall I thought it was okay. There was a scene at the end that seemed so out of place, I can only assume the writers just wanted to pander to the faithful.
Sam, if the Platinum was out when you picked up yours, would you have bought it? I get the extra few minutes' flight time and quieter operation, but right now the standard Mavic Pro is $200 less. Not sure if that extra flight time and fewer decibels are worth 200 bucks.
I've had a weird problem going on for a month or two now. I'll be home watching TV or reading and all of a sudden, I hear a single loud knock from inside my living room wall. Not scratching, just a knock...as if someone punched the inside the wall with a fist or rubber mallet. Usually I'll only...
Not at all surprised that BB was charging that much for an HDMI cable as one of my co-workers got soaked by them a few years ago by paying $150 for one. When I got my OLED from them two weeks ago and set up the install, I was prepared..."Do you have HDMI cables rated for in wall use?" I answered...
Great to hear from you, Jack! Even better to hear your long, strange journey appears to be nearing an end. I'll hoist a cold one in your name after I go to see 2001: A Space Odyssey in 70mm next month. Hope to see you around here more often.
I'm only getting Sunday delivery of the Chicago Tribune these days and the only reason I get any delivery at all is because I get full 24/7 digital access to their website with delivery. With digital access, I can also download full versions of each day's paper to my computer or tablet. Although...
It's funny. When the release date of the film was announced way back when, I was kind of annoyed because I knew I'd have to find time to go in what is traditionally an extremely busy time of the year for me. And yet, somehow I've found time to see the movie twice now (it helps that it is...
During the previews before the film Thursday night, there was some sort of projector issue where the bottom two-thirds of the screen was blacked out. Strangely enough, it happened only for the two animated movies they were previewing...and they weren't even played back to back. Anyhow, when the...
My biggest disappointment, and one that was mentioned earlier in the thread, was that there was no reunion resulting in shared grief between Leia and Chewie. I have to admit, after Han's death I had steeled myself expecting the emotional gut punch of seeing Leia and Chewie grieving over Han's...
If the X-wings couldn't attack Starkiller Base because of the shields protecting it, how did the Falcon manage to get through? I recall a conversation between Han and Finn about staying in light speed until the last second to avoid detection, but maybe I missed something in the briefing about...
Can't agree more. The last two cars the family has bought from Honda have been at 0.9% and no bank or credit union can match those rates. The biggest haggle has always been getting a fair price on a trade-in. If you have the time and patience to wait out a private sale of your current vehicle...
What a terrible loss. Steve was a great guy. He was one of the first big Mac fans I remember around here. I'm glad I got to meet him at an EMA meet in Vegas years ago. 50 is far too young. Rest in peace, my friend.
Getting back to the original poster's question, yes, I have used TrueCar. I'm a Consumer Reports subscriber and when my mom's car was totaled by a snow plow last year, I used CR's partnership with TrueCar to price a new Honda Civic for her. It was great. I got three no-haggle prices from three...
10.10 wiped out my saved network locations and every time I shut down and start back up, I get a moving status bar similar to a firmware update being installed. Annoying? Sure...but not yet to the point of restoring from my last backup.
