I think you are in the minority on this one. ;) That film hasn't aged that well. Jack's Joker is a product of the 80's and is very jokey and over the top (dancing to PRINCE!?!?) compared to Ledger's timeless portrayal. Batman '89 is a very silly movie, not a cinematic crime drama like Nolans...
Star Wars film saga is 100% over, not coming back in theaters other than potential re-releases of I-VI. As for Matrix? I doubt it as set in stone as being dead as Star Wars but I'd be very shocked if a fourth one was ever made.
Yep. TNG was popular but it never reached the mainstream "acceptance" of say The Voyage Home or Wrath of Khan. The general audience knows who Kirk & Spock are and like them. Picard and the rest are seen as "geeky" and do not appeal outside the hardcore fanbase anymore.
Well Jackson said he wanted as many people from lotr back as possible and mentioned Viggo.
If Raimi indeed becomes the director who knows what he'd do with that idea.
I wouldn't worry for Sam Raimi. The man is a professional, I doubt a Brett Ratner like "backlash" will occur amongst fans by the time the movie is released.
Raimi is one of those directors who has a good connection with the internet fanbase and would likely do his all to smooth over the tension...
Rumors a litte while ago said Sam Raimi may have been offered the project. Yesterday's la times had a blurb that makes it seem like Raimi may have taken the offer:
Abrams said he has never seen DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise and said he has no plans to ever see them. He has seen TOS and "some" of TNG he has said so I expect it to not deal with anything other than TOS. I expect as long as he is in charge of the franchise it will Kirk & Spock TOS era only...
Not one at all. He is more of a Nicholas Myer going into it. He said he has never seen nor plans to see DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise. He has only seen TOS(and its movies) and some TNG he has stated.
1. Casino Royale 2. The Prestige 3. Little Miss Sunshine 4. Children of Men 5. An Inconvenient Truth 6. Clerks II 7. Borat 8. Superman Returns 9. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 10. V For Vendetta 2005...
James Bond at #3...? That makes little sense. Borat wont make 30 million again and I can't see how Bond will make less than 30 million. This Bond film has A LOT of hype. The most in a long long time.
Well they better finish the first 5 seasons first. I think everyone can agree to that. Season 1-5 feels like its own complete run. I would buy nearly every season they release but if they finish through season 5 at least it can feel complete.
1. The Indiana Jones Chronicles 2. Batman 3. Muppets Tonight 4. Freakazoid 5. Muppet Babies 6. X-Men 7. The Jim Henson Hour 8. Spider-Man (90's Version) Shows already on DVD but have been ages since we got a new set and I am starting to get worried: Space Ghost Coast to Coast: Volume...
Wait if they reverse time again then how could
Lois get pregnant? Since Lois's child is Superman's and she seemed to be clueless most assumed it was the Superman II sex scene that conviced their kid. Nothing else would fit. Now with the time travel it never happened...?
Die Another Day made 160 million when it was Brosnan's fourth film and had very bad press and bad word of mouth from fans. Casino Royale for the most part has no real competition for a while and it has a ton of hype among fans and has a brand new style and brand new bond. I say this could break...
Peter Jackson is on a producing kick lately attaching his name as producer to a good deal of films. At the very least if he is indeed busy directing other things MGM and New Line will get him on board as producer or exec. producer even if only to be able to attach his name to the project.
Well the new movie coming out has the same style and design as the show based on the teaser poster but will obviously have cgi and 2008 based effects. They want the show to mirror that since the show will take place where the movie(or movies if it gets sequels) ends.
You don't have wait long, Balance of Terror will be the first episode aired due to its strong use of space scenes and space battles to show off the new cgi.
