We finally moved out of my in-laws house and a shiny new 9.2 atmos receiver would be a great addtion to the living room. I've always thought putting speakers in/on the ceiling would add a lot to the surround sound effects, plus I'm always looking for another excuse to buy a couple more speakers...
Ya I was thinking about refoam 1st, but I agree, it's more likely an electronic issue. I found someone local who sounds competent and knowledgeable enough to let him have a crack at it so I think I'll just leave this one to him for now.Thank you for the help! Also I now know that a proper...
Ya hopefully I can refoam, gotta see if its all salvageable or not.Well now that I cracked it open, checked the fuse and made sure all the connections are tight, put it back together, it seemed to work fine for 10 seconds, then popped real loud once I turned the volume past 1/4. The green light...
I just bought a used F1500 B, my dream sub, I get home, plug it in, it makes a couple of quick popping noises, no bass, no sound at all, what could be the problem? I know these are complicated subs with the accelerometer and the servo, I hope it's an easy fix or at least worth sending It out...
i have a 12" titanic with their smaller 250 watt amp. i built my own box to their specs, and im pretty impressed with the sound overall. altogether i spent almost $400 on the whole project, so maybe not the best deal. i always have fun building subs, but if i had to do it over again i would just...
thanks for your thoughts guys, ill keep checkin in and looking around for some other nice cheap great sounding bookshelfs. i just have an itch to get something different, i guess well see which crazy way i will go!!!
thanks, i couldnt find the old thread. i knew there was a problem, although i thought the mmgws were 5 ohms, but im guessing that wont make the difference. well looks like its time to look for a different receiver, or a different pair of speakers. thanks again!!!
ok, 1st off, hello everyone (again)!!! 2nd, i know i have asked about this before, but that was a few years ago, and i am hoping to get a fresh start on my new stereo setup, so dont be mad at me if you have helped in the past... i have a NAD T761 receiver, i know its a 5.1, but i only use...
they would make for great speakers in any system, as long as you have the room for them. these really do sound very nice, mainly because they are so big and have so many speakers in them, good crossovers too from what i hear. however, i have a 9 month old who is probably going to ruin them soon...
im looking for a good b&w center. i was hoping to find a s1, because they are usually cheaper, havent had any luck though. my budget (wife) will only allow about $100-150 at the most for a new center because we have a 9 month old that is a bit more important than speakers, shes right i guess...
I am looking for a pair of B&W 600's or 601's or 601.5's or 602's, as well as a matching center channel (CC6, lcr6, lcr60). I have an original pair of 601's I'm using as surrounds now and want to upgrade my speakers so I have all B&W's. As of now I have a pair of DBX Soundfield V 5's as my...
PRICE REDUCED $50 I have a gently used pair of DBX Soundfield V 5 speakers, these are in very good, almost mint condition. Those who don't know DBX have missed out in my mind. These are a huge pair of speakers from about 1990, which cost at least $400 for the pair, some places charged...
